Article in the nlp today, starting on the front page. Oliver says how the vote on Wednesday was flawed (44 conf north & south clubs only having 8 votes) He talks of a compromise with the Conference letting 3g in at North & South level. He comes across very positively and says that the legal route is an option, but no one really wants that.

Makes it look like we're making threats or holding them to ransom in some way. Body of the article gives a somewhat more balanced view.

On a similar note, the forum user johndaubneyslegs. I always read that as John Dabney's slags.

This is exactly what they are trying to do ,Maidstone united are doing everything wrong by taking the governing body to court absolutely crazy all they are doing is putting everyone's back up. 25 years away from home now all they want to do is change everything.

Sorry Peanut, are you reading the same common sense article as me? Oliver is just spelling out the facts and how we see it. What do you expect the club to do? Just accept a totally flawed argument and undemocratic vote without taking it further?? Do you think the Conference will change their mind if we just do nothing? Odd approach.

Seems to me that Peanut makes stupid comments on 3G pitches without ever seeing a game played on one and stupid comments on newspaper articles without actually reading said article.

It's the sort of reaction you'd expect from someone who only reads the headlines. And that was the thing that annoyed me about it, the sensationalist headline spoiled a decent, balanced and well written article.

Did you see the letter from the Dartford fan? What a stupid Knob, but such a stupid flawed argument (like all of them) that they just make themselves look stupid. Reply to NLP already e-mailed by the way

Reply to NLP already e-mailed by the way Indeed that was probably the most ill-informed comment so far...for anyone who hasn't seen the NLP, he said there was no way 3G could cope with a downpour.

HEATHSIDE, please email the NLP your Hendon highlights. As a paper they can publish both for and against viewpoints and more importantly they can publish both for and against FACTS.

A pity someone couldn't add up. Only one Conference South/North vote for every 6 clubs.
