Don't forget the progressive and forward thinking of the Ryman League. I would like to think that our reward to them next season will be good away crowds and some laughter at the continual postponements in the Conference.
The next home game we have I would like to see a board lamenting the loss of games in the Conference due to weather while we play on.
Can someone please send some videos and pictures to the Chelmo chairman of sliding tackles happening in our home games. Apparently he is a two bob short of a fiver and thinks they don't happen.

All games in the conference will all played eventually , this is what football is about unpredictable wind , rain, snow, sun, that's why people vote against it,if you want sterile football play 5 a side and that's why people have voted in this way and I agree.

The thing is though Peanut some clubs could end up playing 3 games a week. For instance take a look at Skril South down at the bottom of the table.Tonbridge, not a bad little side and better than most of the bottom 5 or 6 teams could end up playing far to many games in a short space of time.Net result they get relegated, not because they are worse than Whitehawk,Gosport etc but beacause bad weather effecting the playing surface .

Look at it another way win all your games and up you go unpredictable that's football that's why people have voted this way. As for dinosaurs they obviously still rule the world.

To some clubs now and for the near future,3g is a lifeline,no one is saying change the rules throughout all levels, just give the smaller clubs an option or maybe both grass and 3g,lets face it once financial stability is achieved, then yes we can all have facilities like Premiership clubs and grass will continue to be the main option for the progressed clubs. or just maybe until the technolgy proves diifferent. Football today is a business as well as a sport and if we all wish to see quality football at all levels and sustain it,then its time to consider all reasonable options. After all said and done The Conference league is a place where you might possibly see a game of good football by reasonable playing standards on a reasonable pitch at some point during a season. I think most will remember trying to find a lamp post you could play football under in the winter dark nights,a hole in the fence or maybe a gate was left unlocked so you could sneak in and play and it didnt matter a hoot what the surface was!

The fact we have played Conference clubs on our 3G surface this season makes another mockery of the decision. I wonder how Eastleigh voted today? The problem is we are trying to persuade people who are not willing to listen and are making daft assumptions/accusations without any real evidence. The ignorance among some other fans about this surface is mind-boggling. You couldn't make it up.

Peanuts you should take the T out! You are a dinosaur mate Another p---k that don't like options Peanuts. Go & eat a can of KP! You are nuts. You say you want a game subject to the elements but these elements are stopping the games from even starting at the moment. You are hiding behind the protective cloak of a "traditionalist" because you offer nothing constructive to say. You and your fellow "traditionalists" should argue on the merits & not because you don't want sterile football. When it rains or the wind howls the players are still subject to the elements. We aren't asking for an indoor stadium , we are asking for a level playfield. The fight continues.

Love all this a talk of sterile football, what does it even mean?! I'll admit the 7-2 last Saturday was highly sterile!! Still at least we can look forward to the mud baths at the World Cup this summer rather than the sterile carpet like grass, no doubt synthetically infused, that we all hate, oh hang on!! I did hear England were even looking for training pitches specifically designed to flood, cut up, ice over or be rock hard as it would make the training sessions more interesting and of course safer for the players!
