Indeed. Hate it when you're told to go and support the gills just because you don't agree on 3G/manager/results. Cracking argument that.

Heathside ignore these numbkins. We are the 5th best placed team in the Ryman Premier - the table doesn't lie.
P.S. I will never support the Gills no matter how poorly we do. Barely visited the place(town) more than 10 times in my life so I don't know why I should listen to your advice and support them.

Hear, hear. Whingers take note and go back to G*llingham. F uck me, I was only saying expectations are going to be raised amongst certain people because of our signings. And so they should be. Not everybody is a club wag / was there in 97 / gives a flying fu ck about sittingbourne. However if you think everybody who has a contrary opinion should piss off to Gillingham then fine. I'm done. Admitably not Gillingham (arsenal here whenever there's no clash). I'll let you take up the filming as you're obviously a better supporter than I could ever be. If I remember rightly nobody questioned Jim Thompson / you all towed the party line back then. That went well for the club didn't it? That’s too over-sensitive by a mile. No one doubts your dedication to the club – I’ve sung your praises many a time, and would be sorry to see you wasting your time in North London. I wasn’t even addressing my comment to you (I’d read yours and couldn’t understand it) but agreeing with Headstone about the sentiment that kicked off the thread. If you look above and on other recent threads you’ll see a lot of dissatisfaction with the kneejerk doom and gloom we have to listen to every time we don’t give somebody a good hiding. The reaction to our creditable performance on Tuesday, because of the result alone, was IMHO a joke. (It’s always instructive to compare the outlandish accounts on here with the rather more considered one delivered by Ruth). It shouldn’t be beyond a football fan to do some simple arithmetic and know that a club is in with a great shout at the end of the season even if on average it drops a point every game; and even the greatest teams slip up a few times every season. And no, this is not all about old fans versus new. It’s about supporting the team at difficult times, instead of go along to moan – something that supporters of any duration will subscribe to (though maybe not at the Emirates). Happy Christmas.

For the record, I consider it an honour to be thought a numbkin by a person who thinks that losing narrowly and unluckily away to one of the best teams we've faced since reforming is the club's darkest hour.

Two hard games , we have just played in and awy from home too, Dulwich I have already said was the best footballing side that we have played this season, we lost 2-0 but in fairness had we had more luck in our efforts , could have got away with a draw or possibly better, we didn't , so we moved on to Wealdstone with all that hype that some people would rather remember for because of a few morrons who wanted to create a situation where none was welcome, back to the game and what happened ... I was there as I am most of the time home and away and this how I saw it ... We played with passion for the first 45 minutes , so did their team ... we got a goal of pure quality in any league and to beat North in the Wealdstone goal is no mean achievement as he is an excellent goalie... All of us who we there felt satisfied when the half time whistle went ... and myself included went to the area close to the dressing room area as our boys came off the pitch , and applauded them off the pitch. We warmed ourselves with a nice cuppa and moved to the other side of the pitch to cheer our team on expecting them to carry on where they had left off from the first half ... Well the game was only minutes from the re-start, there was a scramble in our own penalty area and I overheard someone shout "Don't foul" ... one of their player went down under a fair challenge, there was 500 Wealdstone supporters shouting penalty ... the referee wasn't going to have any of it ... when suddenly the ball touch the hand of our young defender and he gave the penalty ... two things stick in the back of your throat ... one the referee got intimidated by the baying crowd , the other he was a bottler to give such a non- plus penalty ... Wealdstone scored the resultant spot kick and were all "cock-a-hoop" ... We,our team decided to retreat and give them time and again option to put us under pressure ... which they did ...and we made them look good ... We were fielding yet again a changed side due to our injury list and those players did well in the first half ... who gave them the orders to back off the way they did in the second half Then comes the incident on the 81st minute, I think that in all honesty, we had somewhat weathered the storm after their penalty and we all could see us getting away with a draw, which again would have been a fair result, their player,Pett, benefited from yet another inconsistent lack of effort from Fabio whatever is name is who lost the ball or gave it away ... and that Wealdstone player must have thought that is Christmas present or Father Christmas existed when he booted the ball who seemed to be headed out of play only to nest itself in the far corner of our goal ... what a hard pill to swallow .. We didn't deserved to lose to such a goal and a draw would have been the fairest result. Everyone moans, myself included, we've lost our second game on the trot ... we've had some poor results at home,so where do we go from here ... Simple we get down to the Gallagher Stadium on Boxing Day and produced the noise that attracted me in the first place there last season and we cheer our team on, beat Margate, with or without a new manager and a financial backing ... We are not a poor club ourself, we have the right people in the boardroom, who brought us back in the town with a nice stadium , the best pies in any leagues and that include any Premier League of the higher echelon of the English football game. Let's not feel all doom and gloom . let's get back into playing some good football and the results will follow, we are in a good position in the League and at best we will reach the play-offs ... hopefully as it seemed to be the wish of many of you here ... against Wealdstone ... we have had the better of them so far this season, yesterday was a travesty of unjustice and let them pay for it if there is to be a 5th meeting. I hope that you will all have had a belly full of my "quick reply" but will appreciate that I say it from the heart and foremost I would like to wish you all, new and old supporters, a Very happy, Merry and full of surprises Christmas !!! C'MON YOU STONES !! C'MON YOU STONES ! LA !LA!LA! LA! ....

The darkest time for this club was the Andy Ford period. We are now in the Jay Saunders period. I walked out and deserted during the andy ford times. We now have a coherant team with a manager with his eye on the future development and progression of the club as a whole which will result in a better first team. We may have lost a couple of games but it was a bloody good start to the season.

Can you please explain to the newbies how Andy Ford spread darkness in our world? We all need to hear this to gain a sense of perspective. We are the 5th best team in the Ryman League.

We need to stop looking backwards and start looking forward, this is one of the most divisive group of supporters I have ever known and in all honesty it's getting tiresome, we lost on Tuesday and on Saturday against 2 very good teams, we move onto Boxing Day and start again. Come on guys lets move on, If anybody is interested in our previous managers why not try google I'm only interested in the fella we currently have in charge and long may he last..... COYS

For the record, Andy ford was manager before Jay. We were in the ryman premier (just) and Paul Bowden Brown had just handed the reigns to Oliver and Terry. we had a revolving door that opperated at treble speed, the players didn't have a clue as they had neither trained or probably met untill kickoff down at swamplands. when af finally departed Jay came very close to keeping the team up, another game would have made it. Those for me were the dark days, the past two matches are what happens in footie. I said at the start of the season I would be happy with upper mid table, thats anywhere above 13th. Past couple of home performances have not been brilliant and a loss was on the cards, as toon says, it's time to go into the future where things are looking good

Come on guys lets move on, If anybody is interested in our previous managers why not try google I'm only interested in the fella we currently have in charge and long may he last..... COYS I'm with you Toon, I don't get it, the last time I looked at the league table there were 24 teams in the Ryman Prem, meaning this is a 46 match season, we aren't even half way through those games and yet only 6 points off the top. The reality is we have played the favourites for this league 4 times this season, and do you know what, we've matched them all the way, sure yesterday I think Wealdstone were the better team in terms of their possession and passing, but we restricted a very good team to a handful of chances, in fact I can't remember too many chances or saves Worgan had to make, we lost by a penalty and a freak goal. On Tuesday night, against a very good team, we created a number of great chances but failed to get the first. Despite comments on the oppositions forums I don't think we were made to look ordinary or outplayed in either of these games and with a bit more luck could have just as easily won either or both games. However these matches are done now but I personally have seen enough in these 2 games to feel quite confident going into the remaining 25, can I also point out that we beat Dulwich 5-0 last season, we also beat Grays by the same margin, how many of the fans for either team would have thought they would go on and win both the Ryman South and North respectively?

One comment I heard yesterday from a certain fan have no idea who he is called it a joke that we had lost 2 games on the trot against 2 good sides! Well if that is a joke I hate to see what he would say if it really got tough! The problem we have here is 60/70%off stones followers have been so spoilt since returning home! Good times, winning many games, promotions,a nice new ground etc etc! You know nothing apart from a winning side, It just about somes up the majority of Maidstone fans u wouldn't know what bad times were/are! If u think 2 defeats on the trot are then you really need to take a reality check! You get people whinging about today who just go home and couldn't even be bothered with venturing away to dulwich or wealdstone!
