It's a shame really but as somebody had already put on the forum the signing of Jack Harris probably pushed him out the door
Good luck at Folkestone

According to Tun Wells assistant manager Harris is probably not ready for ryman prem just yet so would not be surprised to see another player coming in

Well it was said on Monday that one of the two players was being brought in for and immediate place with the first team, that would have to be Dick Rose

I personally feel any team wanting to push for a title challenge/promotion need four strikers, and not wishing to judge Harris before he has even played for us, but he could find the jump up to this level a challenge. In any case, I hope Jay can find another striker, even if its just on a temporary basis.

Good luck Boothy, this time I don't think we will be seeing him again! He done well after coming back from cray at the end of last season, but he hasn't had the match time this season especially since the arrival of Atwood! Still a top player and done well at cray when there so the drop down to Ryman sth I expect him to be firing the goals in for them!

You can't blame him for wanting as much first team football as he can get at his age when there isn't too much longer to go in his career. It's not easy finding anyone who is happy to be a bench-warmer - I suppose a young striker like Harris is prepared to do that at this stage of his career but, as others have said, someone with a bit more experience might still be required as cover.

Boothy has contributed every time he's come on, but needs to be playing. He's obviously loved playing for his home town club. Just hope we have someone coming in to keep the pressure on FC & ZA.

Not good news we need 4 strikers not 3. That's all very well for the league clubs but at this level you won’t be able to afford the wages for 4 strikers that can all justify starting without making cuts in other departments Look at last season when we had an abundance of strikers, we had them all on the bench and nothing else! 3 are enough, we have midfielders that can play in an attacking role, (I'd prefer another one) plus if we get a serious injury, there’s no transfer window, so you can get someone else in, just as we've done at right back However, I wish Boothy all the best, and I'm sad he's gone, but that's what happens at this level, and I can understand him wanting to play more

I'm a fan of Boothy and thought he was brilliant in the first part of last season, he is clearly a natural goalscorer, and I remember hearing a Lewes fan saying, "our main aim today is to stop Paul Scoring" when we played them recently.
However, he is 36, and the disappointment of him going out on loan, surely Jay is building for the future. Jack Harris has as good a goal scoring ratio as Frannie Collin and whilst I accept Jack hasn't played at the same level as FC you can't argue that Jack can put the ball in the net.
In the pre-season friendly it was clear our defence was struggling to cope with him and considering they were the FA Vase runners up, Jack was the one stand out player for me.
We have to remember Jay's intention was also to bring Alfie Pavey into the first team before his move to Millwall and so a young striker has always been on the cards and if we hadn't taken the gamble on Jack I'm pretty sure our friends in the league would have.
Re Richard Rose, Hythe Town know all about him as he scored the opening goal for Hereford against them in the FA Cup 1st Round.
