at the successful imusc quiz night, I won two raffle prizes. the 1st was an amazon voucher which my wife said she'd look after. the 2nd was a book called "a life too short" (much to shatty's amusement). its a book about the german goal keeper Robert enke who suffered from depression and mass pressure from the expentancy of being a goal keeper. it opened my eyes a lot to what the players of all levels might feel when playing during the match. or worse before a match suffering from anxiety. some of the feelings expressed or bottled up I can relate to from my own experiences in life. I bet if you read it you may do so too. makes you think, when any player gets slagged off or had a poor game how they deal with the aftermath. if any one wants to borrow this book let me know. its worth the time.

I have just read it and I would urge anyone to take Island up on it. It will open your eyes to a hell of a lot and may, hopefully, help people understand the "Black Dog" of depression.

Everybody slated me when I brought this as a prize for the raffle! One on the few books to really stay with me after reading. Read my copy a couple of times. Somebody take Island up on this.

Ok, I'll throw it out of my van window at your house. I'm not dropping under 30 mph round your area.
