Could this be another Wealdstone in the making and will the club be making any special plans - maybe all ticket? I know Boreham Wood only get an average of 150 fans, but their big games have always drawn the neanderthals, probably all who have banning orders and can't go to a football league game. Since the 80's there has always been trouble and never any attempt to curb it, probably because it involves a bunch of people who only go once in a blue moon. twohundredpercent.net/?p=8206

Special plans maybe, but how making it all ticket could help is beyond me...?

How about something encouraging or a sensible idea to help instead of jumping on the ticket idea.

I think if our stewards are on the ball it will be OK.Also we as fans need to report any trouble that is brewing to the nearest steward.

You will not be allowed to drink anywhere in view of the pitch either. FA Rules.

Without wishing to be complacent, it does appear as though the local thugs turn up when they have big games at home. Whether they will turn up to an away game is another matter. I'm sure the club will discuss with BW what their likely support will be. As for making it all ticket I doubt there will be any benefit and it will probably just end up reducing the gate.

Why run the risk of another Wealdstone debacle dont see the the problem of all ticket and segratation as they can then be responsible for those who buy tickets don think club can run the risk as it will only stop people taking their kids

If it comes to segregation will the away fans be placed in the springfield end as surely if it was the town end you would need extra stewards or maybe police to control them.I am sure all of us do not want a repeat of what happened with Wealdstone

Well said roystyboy : Its time the club wake up to this ! we are getting larger crowds than some football league clubs and larger than most in the conference , so any potential lets make a name for our selves firm wouldn't bother going to a game that will attract 200/300 but 1500/2000 that's more of a potential good day out for them.
So Maidstone will attract any potential trouble makers from away teams as we are no longer playing village teams.

Before anyone else jumps on the 'they don't now what they are doing bandwagon' can I assure you all that the Safety Officer is aware of the potential problem we may have with Boreham Wood and that there was a meeting with the police the other day. Since the last bit of trouble the club have employed 6 more trained Stewards and some of the older ones are no longer doing it. So the club is reacting to problems but each game is different. There was also talk of making the game all ticket but I'm not sure of the outcome of that. Alcohol will not be allowed pitch side either.

It would be best to avoid any segregation unless the away team are bringing 300+ with them, my understanding is if this was the case the whole of the springfield end would have to be fenced off. This would allow the away fans a toilet, standing and somewhere to eat. If we do this for a few away fans it would then cut maidstone fans getting into the game by the amount given up.

Right everybody can stop panicking, the club have drafted in extra stewards and the police will also be in attendance, so it's up to the rest of us true supporters to help the club out by identifying any idiots that may attempt to cause trouble and let the stewards know, regardless of which club they are supporting......COYS

Are we expecting a firm of captain kirks from Istanbul or something? I'm baffled as to why we should be worried about 15-20 boredom wood fans + a couple of banned Watford fans.
