I would really like a Wealdstone supporter to come on and tell me why segregation is required each time we have 150 away supporters. I am pretty sure we took 500+ to Dulwich last season in a game with lots riding on it. I have stood in several away crowds with 300+ down the years.
Having said that, the throwing of beer over away fans in the town end seems to be an increasing complaint. Maybe we need to self-police and root this behaviour out if it is happening. WHile punching people is utterly disgusting, throwing beer over people who are watching a football match is well short of acceptable.

Its not the league we play in its the size of the crowd so yes segregation should be looked at, as for beer that was both ways, they were intent on trouble from the time they took their place in the town end, and read their childish ( its the same old people on here now attacking Maidstone fans the same people that started the new V old fans last season ) comments re switching ends and anyone with a short hair cut is up for trouble, so that gave them the right to attack females & children !
Wake up we get larger crowds than most in the conference and some in the football league they have segregation !!!

It will be a very sad day when Maidstone segregate a Ryman Prem match - especially as the number of away fans is so small. Surely we just need to root out the idiots who seem unable to hold their beer. Better stewarding in the Town End seems a priority.

Poor Lorraine was on a one person mission whilst the security guys turned their back on Wealdstone and singled out our lot for daring to point this out. And the organisation after the game was abysmal, even the stewards agreed and pinned the blame squarely at one man

Whoevers call it was to funnel the Wealdstone support out of gate C at the end needs a good long look at themselves. Some just wanted to get to the supporters coach, some (rightly or wrongly) the clubhouse. All that happened was they left up the stairs then all turned right and walked back down the hill into the hordes of Maidstone supporters heading the other way - with seemingly no stewards up there it was always going to end in tears, and judging by the police cars in the carpark it did.
If you're going to exaserbate things and pull a move like that hold them 10mins to allow the main crowd to walk past.

Your spot on with what you said they was ready to start as soon as they got in there I'm 6"2 with a shaved head a prime target for the pricks who wanted to start As it all kicked off the fat bloke with the striped shirt on who called one of our fans out!!! Saw me looking into the crowd at came down giving it the biggun as I explained I'm here to watch the football with my 9 year old son not roll about on the floor with a 20 stone piss head With this registered he proceeded to look elsewhere for trouble I'm sure we won't have this problem again so I'm not for segregation the banter is good NORMALLY

A friend of mine is a Lowestoft season ticket holder and he said the worst thing about losing the playoff was having to play Wealdstone again. He was none too complimentary of our opponents yesterday both on and off the pitch.
A Wealdstone fan sarcastically tweeted at half time yesterday " a fight at a Wealdstone match, now that's a surprise"
They have a reputation they are keen to maintain, that doesn't make us blameless but we need to move on and focus on all the good things that were on show yesterday.

Judging by what I have read and heard so far it seems that a small police presence, on the terrace, might be the idea for certain teams (such as yesterday) coupled with some self-policing from ourselves. Maybe a quick phone snap of the people who want to throw beer at opposing supporters forwarded to the club would be good. Nobody throws beer if they are banned.
I find it sad for Wealdstone that their fans seem to believe that better stewarding and segregation should is what was required. If they want fans to swap ends in the non-league fashion then, in the same vein, league style aggro should also be condemned.

The trouble is ex football league yobs that are now banned from all league clubs take their nonsense into non league as lack of policing, adequate cctv/stewarding leaves it easier for them to continue to avoid growing up.
Hard on the non league clubs that inherit these idiots as they simple arent geared up for this level of nonsense and the financial burden of a police presence and or far greater numbers of stewards or cctv in all the stands that can indentify individuals is simply beyond the majority.
Hard on true loyal fans that have turned up love their club and the family atmosphere and good reputation thats been built up.
All if which is destroyed by a mindless despicable minority.
Wouldnt want to be in the clubs shoes now having to consider how best to deal with this going forward in such a way that doesnt destroy the freedom of the fans and doesnt permit the mindlessness to continue.

I don't think labelling all Wealdstone fans as imbeciles is necessary what we need to do. However, I have just read a post on their forum blaming stewarding, lack of segregation, people throwing abuse and beer and demanding to see if our supporters keep our word on the representation of facts. Interestingly this individual seems to stop short of who was throwing punches other than to say that a reaction was inevitable given what else was being done. The start to the post is, 'not claiming to be an angel today'. Strange that impeccable behaviour should not be expected from someone who demands that everybody else should write exactly what happened (or I suspect, a version that he can agree with)
In light of the continued abdication of responsibility I suggest that, should we be playing Wealdstone next season, we give them exactly what they demand. We send them an allocation of tickets and then segregate the ground accordingly (giving them the burger bar corner of the Springfield End). Anyone breaking the segrgation is arrested and charged with breach of the peace (a small police presence to be in the ground). This seems fair given that the majority of the posts I have read so far seem intent on blaming everything else for violent behaviour and suggest that control of behaviour needs to be passed to someone else. I suggest that Mssrs Ash, Casey and Williams accomodate this. It is, after all what is being requested. It will be a shame that the bar will not be accessible.

Im sure we have inherited a one or two of these characters ourselves.
I do agree whole heartedly with your post though. The continued attempts to discharge responsibility upon others for their own actions is ludicrous
