Very straightforward win against a poor Sittingbourne side. Even considering the players we were missing we were too comfortable. The heat didn't help a very dull first half, livened up only by Ian Tucker's sarcasm after Frannie's opener. Hopefully we can keep getting as many penalties once the season gets underway.
Interesting to see who Jay opts for on the opposite wing to Flish next week - both Rory and Orlando have made decent cases for a place. Lovely couple of goals for Draycott as well have probably earned him the 2nd striker's position for next week as it's obvious Frannie's not the type of striker to play up top on his own.
Us newbies in the extended left side town end made a racket and put to shame all the oldies, couldn't hear them they might as well go in the library end, it was buzzing and thanks in no small part to the extended left side town end's cult hero Orlando Smith.
Can't wait 'til next week with all my friends in the extended left side town end, we even drowned out that noisy mob from Sittingbourne.

Funny to see Danny Ward, dressed like Don Estelle, complaining about the first penalty.

Has to be Orlando over Rory at present! Even though Rory did have a good game v ebbsfleet! And has done ok Nothing outstanding in other games! Think Orlando has looked more lively and dangerous all pre season even though at times he could release it sooner when he's beaten a player! But he's direct and dangerous and his deliveries where the forwards want them are far better! Gonna be interesting not a bad headache to have though both decent players!

I counted half a dozen or so, but there may have been others mingling.

Funny to see Danny Ward, dressed like Don Estelle, complaining about the first penalty. Whitstable Town appoint former Maidstone United manager Jim Ward and his brother Danny as new management team
