First time I've seen the Stones in preparation for the coming season. Very impressed with the squad Jay is building, nice passages of passing football. Thought everyone put in a good shift, Orlando looks very good. Might just have a bet on us now for the title Thought Ebsfleet were poor for Conf South, I expected a bit more from them, all over the place at theback second half. Oh and what a belter from Rory

Good performance from the Stones today after outplaying a woeful Ebbsfleet. The only part of their game which was better than ours was when they knocked the ball across the pitch. Not getting carried away as it was only a friendly but there were lots of plus points today.Thought Alex Brown had a great game today and what a goal by Rory Hill.

Very nice to read a report from the opposition that is not one sided and biased. Summed the game up quite nicely.

my view was that both defences were equal and both midfields were equal. the stones front line was hungrier and deadlier as proved by the penalties in the first half. the second half changes seemed to let the fleet down a bit as it allowed the action come towards the town end where I was loitering with no intent

The stones played some great football today, you can see we are aiming to be more expansive and some of the patterns of play were excellent. Early days but excited for the new season, just like watching Brazil! And worth the fiver just for Rory's volley.

Some great positive play today. Collin v king no contest. Frannie looked as though he really wanted to be playing for us.

Charley Robertson looks to be a great prospect. The scouts will be flocking to the Gallager this season

Probably scouts from Ebbsfleet, because on yesterday's performance the Ebbsfleet owners might be wondering how some of our players have been overlooked. I know they are only pre season friendlies but we have played some pretty good stuff so far.
I don't think of it as Collin v King, I think it is a shame it isn't Collin and King.......SK could have learnt a lot from FC

In the nlp today their manager, Brown, is blaming the surface. "You can't judge people on this pitch on half a game, absolutely not. The ball checks up, your touch isn't quite the same, it gets caught up. I couldn't quite believe how slow the pitch was" I know they are a different set of players, but Ebbsfleet seemed to play very well on it in last seasons psf. He also said "it was a difficult surface for them" what dead flat, even bounce that encourages passing football ? Get real Mr Brown.

Brown is talking crap. His players seemed to be clones of a certain S King.

Thought we really looked decent yesterday,we looked strong and well drilled and organised, great to see all this looking for feet and only going long and high if really needs be! Rory was on fire and hopefully Orlando will join and they will cause alot of problems this season! I think when u get a click of players e,g Rory and frannie who know each others game having played together alot It helps alot! I can honestly say I was really impressed with yesterday's team and would be extremely happy that we could really challenge this season on that basis! Flish has looked just as good at left back and jack Sullivan looks like he's been in the team for years! Probably a addition or two but jay must be pretty pleased!
