I also understand that coming to see us yesterday did at least keep you away from a yorkshire derby loss . We do have one long-standing fan who is a Sheff W supporter. Not sure how much he comes these days but he has been involved with the Stones for many years (right back to County League days). ;D Not sure how much he comes! All the time - give or take the odd match! You'll get me a reputation if you say things like that!! COYS and 'Hark now hear the Wednesday sing...' Whoops. Sorry, Chief. I don't see you much so presume you don't get to games often. Still, now there could be two Wednesday fans amongst us. Blimey we've nicked half the Hillsborough crowd ;D

Bloody hell ragstone, I don't think anyone has said that we have had a bad season, but certain thinks tip you over the edge...im off to watch Sevenoaks next season..my stomach is still churning after that incidents in the second half, involving a long serving member of our club and what I consider to be inappropriate behaviour with electric equipment, and to top it all its posted all over certain social networks.......would not have happened in the county league....

Well to many people living in the past on here, If we only finish 2nd and fail in the play off's then yes = a very poor season, look at the facts we will of been left behind by a Kent club that has been promoted on a shoe string, if the worst happens and we fail to go up !!! Fact we are not Maidstone in the county league , We are playing in the county town with crowds that many BSC clubs would be happy to have. And to quote a previous post Jay has had far more tools in his box than any other club !!!! WE SHOULD OF RUN AWAY WITH THIS LEAGUE !

People lets all put our pitchforks away and stop building the gallows, has the season ended already, have I missed the play offs, I am still unsure what gives us a divine right to promotion, is it because we have a new ground and are back home, Dulwich have been awesome this year and there only blip was against us, I desperately want us to go up but if we don't I will still be watching the stones home and away next season, I still think Jay is the man to lead us and as he is a young manager he is still learning, blimey look at the players he has got in, let's get behind the boys and SUPPORT them and stop the recriminations which aren't going to help anybody...COYS

Well said Toon!
I don't understand what we are moaning about, we are the envy of practically every other club in the league. We had over 2,000 there on Saturday and the Faversham fans are talking about whether that was the biggest crowd they have ever played in front of. Yet we seem to have forgotten this time a couple of years ago we were playing in front of less than 200
Dulwich will have won the league purely because they have been the most consistent team, and as much as Jay has had more players to choose from, has he really had a striker who is likely to sign for a Championship side, or a Turkish midfielder who use to play professionally, or a few other players that have attracted interest from further up the leagues?
Has Jay really had a much bigger budget than all the other teams? Welford was shocked at how much Hythe were willing to offer.
Not getting promoting should not detract from the brilliant season it has been for so many reasons.
The fat lady isn't singing in some quarters yet but she has been singing since July 14th 2012 in others

has he really had a striker who is likely to sign for a Championship side, or a Turkish midfielder who use to play professionally, or a few other players that have attracted interest from further up the leagues? But he has got quite a few players who have played several levels up, Tom Mills on trial with Charlton and we have a certain lad that was playing in the championships a couple of months back Look, I didn't say it was a cr@p season, I said that finishing 2nd wasn't a great achievement in a poor league I've thoroughly enjoyed the season, probably more because we are home after years at Sittingbourne and Ashford (which really was depressing) rather than the football we played. However the performances in cups haven't been repeated in the league, why is that? Anyway, fingers crossed for the play offs

[Got to agree with you on this and to offer Jay a contract for next season when we may not go up is a joke. Blimey, are you perhaps related to Roman Abramovich? Don't forget you may end up with a fat Spanish waiter (or similar) as a replacement.

On that theory nobody would change jobs, move house, buy a new car or even get married, just incase they made a mistake!

On that theory nobody would change jobs, move house, buy a new car or even get married, just in case they made a mistake! And so many people have! My meaning, as you well know, was that coming second is the best result achievable in our league of 22, apart from coming first. And it isn't Jay who keeps missing chances in front of goal, the fault is with the players, not the selection.

That's the point Trolley made, 3 games to go and we don't know our best pair up front And no, as you well know I wouldn't have started with either of them, not with hindsight, but what I said before the game. As for the final 5 games (I hope) I'd start with Ade and King, and bring the others on if necessary I'd also keep the Stubbs / Brown pairing in midfield. Now will he be brave?
