Does anyone know what the dates are for the play off matches? Obviously I really hope we don't need them but I want to make sure I keep them clear, just in case. I couldn't find it on the Ryman site but maybe I was looking in the wrong place!

However I read in this weeks Non League Paper that "after an extremely problematic winter for clubs in fulfilling fixtures, the FA has finally agreed to allow an extra week to complete outstanding matches in Steps 1-6, thus extending the end of season to May 5"
Does that affect our league ?

It affects me, I might have to cancel my trip to Istanbul! Which might not please her indoors, as it was for our anniversary.

It will probably be up to the league committee to decide whether to extend the Isthmian League season and postpone the play-offs, but it seems that they now have the option. This does make it seem even more ridiculous that steps 3 and 4 are expanding to 24 clubs per division next season. Even if the league cup is scrapped, as has been suggested, this is only going to make fixture congestion worse and lead to more long midweek trips. Of course, that won't stop the empire-building by league officials. 22 clubs per division, or maybe even less than that, is plenty for semi-professional football.
