I thought Faal was excellent. He never stops running and robbed defenders numerous times (as did Tanga). All the players deserve praise for that performance. The ref was a mystery. If one of their players went down they got a free kick. If one of ours went down he still gave them the free kick yet he still gave us a pen later a deserved red card to their #11. What a brave little player Tanga is. He was kicked and bundled all through the game but refused to be intimidated and won the pen. Not only Tanga. I wonder at times what Matt Rush has to do to get a free kick, and his yellow, presumably for simulation, was outrageous. The ref got two decisions right, but only because he had no choice. They were so obvious that if he hadn’t given them you would seriously be questioning his integrity. Agree about Rush. At 91mins he got a free kick where the defender nearly had his shirt over his head. That was only his second free kick I think, despite him being constantly manhandled every time he got near the ball. His booking was laughable. The referee was utterly woeful.

Their performance was not what I expected from 2nd in the table.
They resorted to dirty tricks and got away with most. Tempers both sides were running high toward final 1/3rd.
Can believe we won, but the comments above commend the players who were so good. We could have had more, equally so could they- but we were better and held our control./ The Sqaud can be proud of tonights performance. I thought.

What a superb performance. Exactly what we needed to give the whole club a lift and clear off the Coventry (sky) blues.
Up next we face a Dartford side that we can potentially beat four times in one season, in which they may be relegated. They don’t like us, we don’t like them. We will be there no matter what.
Come on you Stones.

Great result Hardworking team performance Superb individual performances from Faal Tanga etc Wonder save from Lucas Against 12 men most of the game - ref was a joke Deserved the win because of the effort and the ref Chelmsford matched us but weren’t anywhere near NL standard Great to see Rushy get his reward for being knocked from pillar to post with no protection from the ref and yet key going like the Duracell bunny Great away support but even better to shut them up! Great support from the Genci All in all a thrilling game, great to watch and to see our team deservably come out on top Well done boys! Playoffs are back on!

Chelmsford fans were excellent - gave the Genco a fair bit of competition but no trouble. After recent events, it felt a bit odd sharing the loo with them at the end of the game, but they were just as friendly as you'd expect. Credit to their club.
As for that ref and his cards - did Corne get one just for (apparently) pacing out the distance to the wall before that free-kick? That's what it looked like from the MS. Is that illegal, or was it just an oversensitive ref?!
I was surprised by Chelmsford's 'tactics' as well - not necessary, especially when you're 2nd in the table. The ref was suckered into giving 'fouls' several times, and there was some very blatant holding/restraining/whatever - although all the refs seem to ignore that these days...
