I had my doubts from the moment I saw/heard him at that meeting.
In my old job I often had to rely on my gut feel as to whether I could trust someone or take them at face value. Alarms were going off in my head when I heard him talk.
And that wasn't helped by all the 'specialists' and techo stuff he had either.
There was one moment at Braintree away, when we seemed to have started playing better at last, that I wondered if I might have been wrong. But it didn't last.

Got to agree with the above in terms of his network. He seemed to bring in players at will from a variety of clubs and geographies.
The only issue was that he did it all the time - I think he brought in five after his first game - and there was no consistency in selection or shape.
My personal highlight was him playing Dan Wishart and George McLennan in the same team in what appeared to be the same position on the pitch.

I tend to be supportive of whoever is the manager, for as long as they’re there.
That has been the case for Hak, Jay, George and Wheeler. Interesting he is the only one known by his surname.
Almost nobody has never had a job that didn't work out, so I wish him well and moved on years ago.
