So they will never admit they have got the crowd control wrong and deal with the route causes. Tbh having that segregation barrier up permanently certainly doesn't help. Like today, the game wasn't segregated, yet they had the shutters down on the concourse under the Genco like they do for segregated games and the barriers at the front.....it creates animosity that wouldn't be there if the whole Genco stand was freely open. It felt like a segregated game, even though it wasn't, that barrier really needs removing and only in place when it's needed 5-6 times a season.

A truly pathetic 9 seconds of video with truly pathetic idiots. Its a shame the punches never connected as they then might realise it hurts and won't do it again.

Way over the top reaction. 3 or 4 teenagers playing handbags that add up to diddly squat. Nothing to do with affecting attendances. There were 100s of new fans at the Yeovil game, including families with young children, who have not returned and never will. Our club response was to break league rules by threatening to ban Yeovil fans, instead of making public examples of our own idiots. Maybe they were “playing handbags” after winding each other up for 90 minutes, and someone decided to meet them outside. Why would anyone with young children bring them to the Gallagher when such behaviour is becoming a regular occurrence?

I attended the match yesterday and heard and saw nothing seriously amiss. How could I have avoided the terrible scenes described by Bernie. It sounds like absolute mayhem. Police in riot gear ? Familes being terrorised ? Should we all be too scared to attend the Gallagher stadium again ? Lives in peril ?

You didn't miss much Dan. A very few kids outside the ground thinking they were still in the playground. Much better if it didn't happen at all but a few tiny isolated incidents doesn't equate to the Battle of the Somme. Families are very welcome and safe at the Gallagher. Some extreme voices shouting "crowd disorder" is really unhelpful and way exaggerated. Agree though the the segregation barriers don't help. I do hope the club can impove on this for next season in th NLS.

I was at the match with my 2 young grandchildren. It was a thorougly enjoyable experience for everybody. Admittedly they were oblivious to the result. Supporters were friendly as always and a good time was had by all. We will be back !

There wasn't a great deal going on in the Genco until Rush scored and then the feral element suddenly thought it was time to sling verbals and willy waving at the 50 or so Alban fans on the other side of the barrier. So, not a reaction to the goal, more a case of suddenly seeing a chance for bragging rights, which had been denied them all afternoon until then. It goes back to the tribal element again and gawd knows why it is football that creates it when so many other sports manage without. Whatever, a few Alban fans then tried to assert their 'masculinity' on the way out of the ground and the children couldn't take it. It spilled into the road for a minute or so, briefly causing traffic to stop. All stuff and nonsense, until somebody not involved, gets pushed under a speeding car, of which their always seem plenty in the area...

Yep, its all rubbish stuff with a few silly kids grabbing the headlines on this Board.
What is the point of trying to stoke up a climate of fear so that families dont want to visit the Gallagher ?
Things are nothing like as bad as some would have you believe.
Its a totally safe place to take your kids and have a nice afternoon out watching the footie.

A friend of mine was punched in the head after Yeovil, so excuse me for not saying “it’s nothing, it’s just a few kids”.

By a Stones supporter ? Excuse me but Ive been to hundreds of Stones matches and never been punched or even been threatened. How can that be ? I've been watching football since the 70s at Upton Park, so I've seen my share of stuff, some of it pretty unbelievable. And I am eternally grateful that I can now go to football and not have to worry about all that drunkenness and aggression. So watching the stewards desperately trying to control those Yeovil idiots, whilst our 'fans' goaded them on was a really nasty flashback for me. If anyone on here thinks that families with kids visiting their first football game weren't put off by that, they badly need a reality check. I know there's trouble at night sometimes in town, but people with young families aren't going to see that. For those people - and their kids - this might have been the first thing like this they'd ever experienced - and they saw and heard it at our 'freindly, family orientated' football club. Times have moved on - thank God - and this sort of behaviour (on both sides) should not be tolerated - any more than it would be at a cinema or concert. Football (and fans) can no longer accommodate this sort of behaviour as 'normal' and 'acceptable'. And, despite what the clubs say, you only have to look at what they actually do, and some of the comments on here, to realise that this is exactly what 'we' are still doing. Football isn't somehow 'special', violence and aggression should no more be expected and tolerated here than anywhere else.

If these kids had been around in the 80's and behaved like that they would have been killed or crippled for life .Thankfully things have improved since then.

The latest video has made the Non League Facebook site with everyone up and down the country saying just how pathetic Maidstone supporters are.
