The Fannie in The Duke.
As for the day, a priceless occasion and move over Ebbsfleet play off final, there’s a new best football day ever.
Fans in good voice, great atmos in the town, few idiots but there always is.
The team did themselves justice and we scored two brilliant goals. Clearly very lucky at times

A privilege to just watch on TV. Those of you lucky enough to be there in person are now part of club history. How we survived the first ten minutes is anyone's guess, but we did and gradually grew into the game. Covolan rightly will take the plaudits, but everyone played their part and what a remarkable decision by George to bring on the two youngsters near the end - and didn't they do well too? When they equalised, I thought oh well, it was good while it lasted. But then we scored again! What's more, it was all part of the Team George master plan. Hope those of you at the game have recorded the whole match, because the scenes after the game are just as good, with George just magnificent. I’ve recorded it and can’t wait to watch it without the tension. It was an absolutely unbelievable experience. Can barely make a sound tonight, my throat is totally wrecked. |

I won't comment as when similar happened at home a few weeks back and I DID comment, I was suspended! So, I left, as I can't deal with stupidity. Suspended from what, Pat? The Unofficial Maidstone Supporters FB page. Someone wrote a load of nonsense about the clubs lack of responsibilities to which I replied that it wasn't the Club whom invaded the pitch, was it? So, I was banned for 7 days- Easier to leave, then it won't happen again, will it! |
