Strange how we can make a side near the top of L2 look ordinary, then wilt against a side league lower. Or maybe not, because that's football. Highlights and other reports show we were nowhere near yesterday, while if there had been VAR, Barnet might have had three penalties. Would much rather the ref got the red card decision right though - not that it would have made any difference to the result, but a bit of a pisser to lose a loan forward for three games over such an error. Maybe we can win an appeal for once? Less than 500 Barnet fans shows how interested they were, though their NL average gate is not much better than ours.

Hopefully our rearranged home game against Dartford can now be moved to the Saturday of the next FA Trophy round rather than a Tuesday night where attendances have been poor. (work it out !) We are already at home to Torquay on that Saturday. Which we not happen as Torquay will be playing in the Trophy and will now travel to us on a Tuesday evening. Hence Tony's point.

Taking concessions into account, I’ve always assumed the club makes ~ £10 a head from non season ticket holders. If 500 fewer people attend a game because it’s midweek, that’s £5000 more we’d make if it moved to Saturday.

We are already at home to Torquay on that Saturday. Torquay are in next round of FA Trophy that Saturday so we currently have no fixture that date. And Looks like Dirtford don’t have one either as they have Chippenham, also through to next round of FA Trophy.

Dartford fixture has already been arranged for Tuesday 9th January. Indeed it has, that was done a while back. Just thought it may be an opportunity for the club if it is possible to make some extra dosh from a very sparse return on Saturday fixtures.

Highlights show goal number 2, an own goal, when Covolan had an easy collect. Reminds me of last Saturday when the same defender knocked it past the keeper (with his back to the ball) to put Barrow in the lead. Seems like the 'elephant in the room'.

Just looked at the highlights. How was that 2nd goal not offside ? Angle not great but hardly matters cause he looked yards beyond the last Stones defender. The sending off was ridiculous. No intent. Not even dangerous play. Barnet players not bothered. Referee crap. Agreed, although I would add that this is not excuse making as a Barnet victory was a fair result, just made it such a thoroughly miserable day. Both Ref and linesman got big decisions wrong, Aji is normally a good ref, but today awful (although agree that he gave no penalties, both on the day and from the highlights) For the second goal, the lino was right in front of me, and was not even looking at Kabamba when the ball was played As for the supposed sending off,go back 30 years and the ref will have been saying "your fault Reece, you ducked your head" and would only have given a free kick to get the Barnet player the treatment he needed. The club must appeal but I fear it will be heard by the usual pathetic clueless moron at the FA who will side with the ref without even thinking.

Red card was silly now I’ve seen it back.
Still think the lino got it right for the goal

Is this the first time we've been in the FAC longer than the Trophy?
Given our history in the Trophy, I guess not...

Reading that last paragraph I thought this was Sword😆

Is this the first time we've been in the FAC longer than the Trophy? Given our history in the Trophy, I guess not... Nope - when we played Wrexham in December in 2014 - we were already out of the trophy - Sudbury beat us at home 2-0 in November. There maybe others - but I do recall that one- (and confirmed with the stats) PB
