The Lakes are in Barrow's backyard? Well, if Carlisle can claim to be the gateway to the Lake District, I guess they are... Barradise has the Lakes for a back garden but Carlise must be the back passage. |

There’s a big one on Walney Isle & still there & seals also beach themselves there overlooking Piel Island which also attracts the wildlife….Is that the one? Thats the one but we used to stay in Barrow Town centre alternating between wildlife trips and getting shitfaced🤣 You’d fit in nicely getting shitfaced 😇 |

'The place is ugly, it is a grey landscape, best known for wind and rain.
In Winter its worse.
No character, all buildings look the same, nowhere to visit, parks full of rubbish, beaches even worse, nowhere nice to stay, foods rubbish, pubs with sticky carpets, etc, etc.
Hope it doesn' go to a replay !

The chairman is looking at 3000+ ,once I stopped laughing I put a more serious figure of 2,250. There is no cup fever though I don't live in Maidstone so perhaps they are all wanking themselves silly at the prospect of beating you and drawing Carlisle away in round 3. |

Hundreds of those will miss this fixture.
There is ziltch cup fever around.
Barrow are a very good team but have no pulling power.
Tbh I think sword may be a shade optimistic with his prediction.

Stones 1 Barrow 5 after them being 3-0 or 4-0 up at half time in front of 2773. EFL quality goals that even Lucas won’t be able to stop after Fowler and co have been split apart at the back like they were 100 times in NL. Unless of course Appiah plays a blinder but won’t Leicester not want him cup tied just in case?
With no Appiah could be 7-1 to Barrow but they will thrown in subs to save injuries and go down gears after making the tie safe.
I know this won’t count in the prediction league but it’s still a bit of fun to see what we all expect from the Barrow game and why there is a lack of cup fever about it.
Over now to the amber specs brigade to predict a big stones win i. Front of 5000 (800 in the trees and hanging out the windows of buildings) and Levi leading the charge at Wembley in the final. against Man City.

But good though our boys are in NLS, there is a gulf between this level and the EFL.
Levi will find it hard going.
Considering how well Barrow are playing, Stones would do very well to contain them to a couple of goals.
0 - 4 is a realistuc scoreline.
