Bit of a pattern developing. We should be in the play-offs, not 12th. 6 points lost over last three games - and two reds. George needs to get a grip before this turns into a self-fullfilling trend. Statement of the bleeding obvious, but we need to score more goals. We need to hang on to leads too, obviously, but that's a lot easier when you know you can score more than one a game. Still behind George, but the most frustrating thing is you know EXACTLY what he's going to be saying in his post match interview... "...proud of the players..." "...boys worked hard..." "...tough team to play..." Etc, etc, etc.

Where is Wanju-Smith? Not even on the bench. I was sure he had been left out Saturday to start today. He has not been seen since missing the penalty. Even as a sub he is likely to create for himself or others. Surely he is not injured again.

For the first 30 minutes it was pretty even & looked all set for 0-0. Then the Stones played 15 minutes of excellent football & should have been at least 2-0 up.
Second half was totally different as Taunton changed their tactics & formation. Neither George nor the players seemed to have an answer as the game became very one-sided.
Defensive 5 were OK although Chiz is better going forward than defending. It would be interesting to seen Brown play LB & Chiz play wide left.
Centre midfield was the problem. Gurung had a shocker, maybe his confidence was affected by Saturday's sending-off. He should have been subbed at HT. Corne was average but after he went of injured it was again obvious that Kelly struggles with the physicality of league games.
Not sure about Sole. He faces the wrong way & seems to lack the confidence to get round defenders. At one point he only had one defender to beat & be through on goal but instead threw himself to the ground looking for a foul which he didn't get.
Obi looks a poor signing & probably needs to be loaned out to a lower league team asap.
I was the other side of the pitch from the red card incident which looked 50/50 so maybe it can be appealed.
Oh well, it's still early days.

He was a guest on stones live at half time today and took part in a portion of the warm up. Came off well before the others however.

I thought we looked in control 1st half but didn't have much cutting edge, and when we did create it came from wide. The game was crying out for width, but didn't do it enough. Second half was there's, they deserved the point, but the ref wow, had shocker, still only lost once which can't be bad, but need to turn 1 point into 3. Concerned where the goals are coming from, things need to be worked on, defo some question marks about some of the players we've signed, and how to get the best out of them.

We are doing much better than I feared we might as we are not losing and some players are showing promise but we are what we are as was discussed pre-season I.e a mid table NLS team who may scrape play offs by probably won’t. But NLS is a much better league than the awful money dominated NL, we can drink beer whilst watching the game and NLS according to the amber specs fans is our level so we stints shit up and enjoy it! Makes it blooming awkward thought to predict the results! Weymouth could be anything from a 3-0 drubbing if a side dropping in confidence to a 0-3 win for us after bollockings from George getting the team back on track!

We were comfortable first half and deserved the lead at half time. Second half was a different story, we were as poor as I’ve seen us, but the ref was even worse. The red was probably fair but why was their player allowed to stay on after treatment. How was the push on Brown not even a yellow when it should have been a red every day of the week. Why was Gavin booked for his first mistime challenge yet an almost identical challenge by them a few minutes later went unpunished.
Disregarding the ref we were awful second half, but that was one of the most one sided performances by a ref I’ve ever seen. Could we have held on? Maybe not but you’d like to think we’d get fair treatment from officials. The only positive was that playing that badly we didn’t lose.
As for Taunton, just another snide horrible side like Hungerford.

Most of our chances came from Chi crossing the ball, hardly anything from the right wing. We could do with a good right winger who could beat a man and put in a good cross. I don't think the team is nearly as good as the last team that got us promoted. I don't know how Levi scored as someone accurately described him as looking like Bambi on ice. He needs support, bring back Jack. He is now our top scorer so why sub him for Obi?
Gavin injured, Corne injured, Gurung and de Graft both suspended for at least 2 games, we are going to be very short in midfield unless Greenidge is fit and Sam Bone takes a central mid field position.

The fact that we only looked threatening when our full backs got forward - not enough first half, not at all in the second - shows how little creativity we have in midfield. Am fairly sure their manager sussed that and changed the way they played in the second half, while yet again we had no Plan B. Bone and Fowler did sterling work in central defence, but we need the former in midfield, while we seem just too light weight in too many areas of the pitch at the moment. Why is it that referees at this level give no protection when big players bully smaller ones, yet as soon as they fight back, they get punished unfairly? Happened all over the pitch yesterday and hope the highlights can shed some light on this.

I think beyond the red card, Corne going off injured changed things a lot. He's an absolute engine and was chasing everything down. Once he went off, the pace and intent changed.
Possibly controversial, but I don't think Hoyte should be our starting right back or even captain. I love Gavin, but compared to Ezennolim he's not quite there for me. Both Fowler, Bone and Corne are more vocal on the pitch and look to organise more when needed.
