It would pose George some questions on shape and what players fit into that shape. I would rather spend the money on a different type of striker but Rushy was very effective Like Levi or Mo?

It’s not as simple as a little quick man and a big strong man good in the air. But yes, someone in the mould of a Levi or Mo. We have Blair who is brilliant but need someone to play alongside him to take some of the physical bullets and give him more space. These are opinions. I am no expert. The shape of the team is working at the moment. The wide players are putting in some great balls. Benton being free and Corne and Tayt deep to protect the defence is working well.

Benton is brilliant - Shane he’s a loanee Trusty is also a very good player I think someone in the mould of a Levi or Mo to take pressure off Aaron would be a brilliant idea- the freedom he would get would double his goal tally. If Harry could do that for him great but I don’t think so

Another 0 minutes for Matt Rush at Sutton Wonder if George would want to have him back or not? Same type of player as Aaron so might not fit the system.

Rush is quite small and we need a target man to play with Aaron. Bill mentioned a central defender, winger and centre forward in the programme all identified but no deals done due to the clubs being unwilling to release them due to injuries. If Greenidge is to miss 5 games due to suspension and international duties we need that centre half urgently. If we get an injury we are in trouble. Brown has not even made the bench for some time so I assume he is injured, that leaves Sam Smith as the only back up. When are we likely to see Higgs again?

Just checking my options for Saturday, when I discovered that Danny Kedwell is now manager of Ashford United. He is also a contender for goal of the month, available on their website; a cracking drive from the halfway line, away to East Grinstead.

Wasnt there a really personally attacking song about Kedwell that even Terry Casey delighted in singing? Couldnt ever sing it again now though - way too insulting. Dave U wouldnt be happy.

It’s fine to insult opposition players. It’s fine to criticise our own players. Just no need to make it personal.

I don’t know the Kedwell song so can’t comment on specifics. What I object to is actually referring to a player by insult rather than their name. Picking Harry may be a ludicrous choice and it’s fine to say so but using it instead of his name is out of order. I’m fine with comments about his playing ability but naming him Ludicrous is a sleight on him as a person
