Perhaps Scot Stone might have mentioned Jimmy McMullen a wing half who played and managed the Stones from 1921 - 23. He then returned to Partick Thistle for 2 years or so before signing for Man City. Having not been selected for the Scotland side whilst at the Stones he returned whilst at Partick and captained the full Scottish side against England at Wembley in what was a famous victory for the Scots Wembley Wizards in 1928. Is he not the most successful ex-Stone?

Chris Smalling won 2 premier league titles, 1 FA Cup, I league cup, a Europe league and 2 community shields with Man U, plus a Europa conference league with Roma. He was capped by England 31 times. McMullan won nowt but was capped for Scotland. I'd say McMullan was not the most successful ex-Stone

I have mentioned Jimmy McMullan before in this forum but didn't mention the Captain of the 1928 Wembley Wizards ... ... here for reason that he was already a full Scottish International before coming to us from Partick Thistle so we can't exactly claim to have 'made' or 'improved' him unless we are referring to his managerial career (took Aston Villa to the 2nd Division, nearly took Sheffield Wednesday to the 3rd tier before just missing out on promotion to the first when pipped by Sheffield United)

Reagan Booty sent off, straight red, in 24th minute at Dorking, who went on to win 1-0

Given their ambition to get promoted and the high likelihood that they will manage it this year, did they buy him with the NL in mind then? Much as I enjoyed watching Amantchi, this strikes me as a hell of a gamble.

Luque scored for AFC Totton on Tuesday night, from a pass laid on by his skipper Scott Rendell. Reece Grant has just joined on loan from Hemel
Totton are newly promoted to the Southern League Prem South and seem pretty determined to go straight up to NLS
The club has a good set up for the spectator, strong ties with nearby Southampton FC and a grass playing surface that wouldn’t look out of place several leagues higher

Looks like a January loan, same as Grant. Totton’s push for promotion has slackened in the run up to Christmas, this looks like an attempt to get it back on track

Interesting to see Totton looking to move up again. Had a great few years from 2008-12 or so with a good cup run and some promotions. It looks as if as soon as Southampton got back to the premier league their attendances really dropped and suffered a few relegations. Think Luque going there justifies the clubs decision not to offer him a deal for this season
