Maidstone 3 Weymouth 1 Attendance 2055 Time 19.01 You forgot to copy me (like everyone else - dodgy forecasting going on YS? Investigation?). If my calculations are correct you've let Ravy Davy go top! Even more gutting. He's 3 off on attendance. I was only 36 away and next I think. Tssk. If he wins this, Bernie.... My predictions are going to become ever wilder and more erratic, like Swordie chasing his gambling losses. All I had to do was follow the crowd and victory was assured. Now I’m going to end up in the gutter, drunkenly shouting I could have been someone.

Correct score and only 3 out on the attendance. I’ll take that thank you very much.

Yesterday, to quote the Levellers, you were "on top of the world, looking down on the nation." Tomorrow morning you will be fish and chip wrappers as big Davy marches to victory. He's already barracking you, bruv

Agents, garstone, clydestone and - more in hope on this one - bernie, you must prevail. If you succeed, I'll stand with for a match. If you fail...I'll stand with you for two matches!

Cedric is currently at the PDSA veterinary unit and is not looking in good shape at the moment. They think he has been attacked by some other animal, possibly a cat or dog. My money is on the Staffordshire bull terrier further up the block ,if I find out it is then his owner will be the next recipient of the Swordy headbutt.PDSA is a charitable organisation that will cover all fees for Cedric. I will keep you posted.🐢😪🐢😪🐢😪

The table at post 1 has been updated following the Weymouth game.
Weymouth. What image does it conjur up for you? Is it the sunny beaches with Smiley Miley telling you how far the Radio 1 summer roadshow moved overnight from it's previous location (ask your grandparents kids) or perhaps those heady days when the Alliance Premier League was in its infancy and stuffed with the likes of Altrincham, AP Leamington, Gravesend & Northfleet and Bangor City? Perhaps like me it's the iconic kit worn by Tony Agana, a flying winger they had who would go on to play for Sheffield United in years to come. Regardless, they're a club - a bit like Bath City - who one can have a bit of a soft spot for which makes it all the more annoying that I forgot to put a prediction in this time!
In the light of Sam scoring two quick goals last night, and then it all going quiet again, one wonders which of the other eight of us who predicted the 2-0 scoreline Sam might be? Let's face it we know he's not nws. So everyone picked up points for the victory except for the three lowest placed predictors who took part, so not too much changes but we do have a new leader to look up to in daveu who scored a near perfect 8 getting the score and closest to the attendance.
The avalanche of five pointers last night now means that there are eight centurions with stewjm with his face pressed up against the window itching to get in.
Just two games left to go now, so not many chances left to join that select club, it's another visit to the waterlogged west country and Truro City next before closing out the regular season at home to aspiring play-off contenders Hampton and Richmond.

What about a play-off - those finishing 2nd-7th predict the results of the playoff games?
Also (and you can tell I've only just looked at the rules!), surely you should get points both for correct score and correct result if you get the score right?? And, given how hard it is to predict crowds, especially away, I feel that this should get more points- maybe even 1,2 and 3 points for the closest three?
Not sure what the point (!) is of getting a point just for taking part. Smells like Socialism to me...

Firstly you do get the two points for the correct outcome, you just get three bonus points for the right score. Secondly the point for taking part is to encourage interest and without that your 4-0 prediction strategy applied to last season might have seen you come in behind Cedric Thirdly I struggle enough with this relatively simple points system - it's not a formula-laden spreadsheet, it's all done with the Mk1 eyeball and in my head! The attendance one is a reasonable idea, and I will look at that again during the close season as I think only one person has got it bang on in two seasons so far.

And there was me thinking you had a database and automated table generation... My constant picking of 4-0 is not a 'strategy'! It is insane optimism. And of course I should get points for that! So, what about the play-off idea???
