So close and yet so far,2 wins and a draw.Oxford who scored 5 in their last home game drew a blank robbing me of £84. I was quietly confident today so this one is a bit harder to take.Oh well! Onwards and upwards .Swordy £0 v Bookies £125.

It could be a lot worse! One of my son's friends is currently broadcasting an impressive house fire (preceded by "two large bangs"), which appears to be in Bulk Orchard, Barming.
I don't suppose anyone is in at this time on a Friday night, but if they are and live that way (Bernie?), I'd love to know more. I used to live just up the road!

Doing that all the time these days - I'm putting it down to the vestiges of jetlag ..

Need Aus, Eng and SA to win for a big one to come in. Basically all of those football matches that won me £115 yesterday plus Barca, Ire, Samoa and Wales and todays favourites. Would be 26-1.
I have a feeling Fiji May beat Australia tho

Trying a Tuesday night 5fold Wins for Preston Ipswich Peterborough Barnet Chesterfield Pays around 24/1 Swordy memory. As we approach the 3QR of the cup I remember my first home FA Cup game for the Stones, a 2-0 win v Bromley in 1980. You were 2 rounds ahead of me - the home Gills game was my first - a boring 0-0 draw in the freezing cold, if memory serves. I only went because a Gills supporting mate at work invited me along (so I had to stand on the dog shit terrace with hundreds of pissed-off Gills!). We'd only just moved and had our first child, so there was no money for trips to UP. I had no real knowledge of non-league at that time, so the game meant little to me. But I went along to the next league game, just to see what it was like - and here I still am, 43 years later! Just checking back through those games, I was surprised to see, despite the creation of the Alliance, we still had to qualify right from the first round. Looking at the 'prize' money list posted by Barney (I think) the other day, we must have made quite a bit from that run. Although, by the time we played Exeter, we'd already played ten games, so the costs were probably quite high too...
