Wait until the end of the season. Early signs are very good. But still far too early. Hak was very bad, so its easy to look good right now. But George seems to be doing amazing already, lets hope he gets the job full time after he manages the great escape.

Two games in. Lost one drawn one. These two games were always free hits. Next 3 or 4 will be a better measure.

Providing he has the required qualifications and coaching badges needed for this level to be appointed full time then do it now. As I've stated on other threads ,this just feels right,I believe he would take the club forward and any delay would risk losing him to another club.George,in my opinion,has been left with as tough a task as you can get in keeping us up and if he ultimately fails but fails in a valiant attempt then he cannot be held to blame and with new backing and possibly money he would bring back the excitement next season.

George has proved that he can motivate the team and with the help of the coaching staff seems to be tactically aware. The unknown is how good he will be at recruitment and the contacts that he can call upon. It would be more expensive to attract a manager away from his existing club. I think George has shown enough to earn the job for the rest of the season at least and if he keeps us up then an extension for next season. It would be a massive risk to bring in another manager now when the team seems to have given George their vote of confidence.

Arguments for :-
-Played at highest level and played at Nat south and National League.
- Great communicator.
- Great people skills (which often equates to good man management).
- Knows the club.
-Already massively respected by fans and players alike.
- Good connections ? ( This is an assumption due to his playing career and likeability).
Arguments against : -
- Inexperienced and unproven. (JS was both of these when he took over with the SW and did O.K)
- Potentially too nice ? Can he do the nasty things like axing players, stiff talking to etc.. ( don't know yet ).
Imho arguments for far outweigh those against so a yes from me. What is the worse that can happen? I cannot imagine anyone else coming in and keeping us up at this stage so nothing to lose imo.
I would offer him 18 months now but I'd imagine club will wait till the legalities of takeover have been finalised before this happens.

Why isn't this in the General Chat forum? If I hadn't come here looking for a way to help nws fetishise the news in a safer environment I might not have seen this!
Anyway, subject to all the usual criteria such as coaching badges and serious support from the owner(s) I'd say yes.

I reckon you'd get more traction on your news posts if they were in this area the non-Stones (by implication non-footy) part of the board. There is a cheap imitation of my great thread here. It has had no posts on it this year. The opening poster has put nothing on there in ages to promote interest and if you read through it you'd almost think he only did it to try and annoy me (although this can't be true because he ignores me - well apart from mentioning me all the time🤣🤣). Anyway keep up the good work on the prediction thread. One that is worth reading.
