Well the battle of the Maids is almost upon us and the bookies surprisingly have us as slight favourites at 13/8 with the head at 9/5 the draw is the bog standard 11/5. I cannot see how we will win after our last 2 performances and my money, sadly,is on the away win. Maybe the guy from QPR can get the crowd singing feed the Aardvark and he will score. If we play football we have half a chance,if we play hoofball then bottom 4 here we come. Hoyte being injured may help us as he is not having a great season and hopefully Mensah is dropped. Sandford back in goal is a must and we must try and keep him for the rest of the season.

Won their last two games 2-1: home to Eastleigh and away to Aldershot. Before that 0-0 at Yeovil and 0-1 to both Wrexham and D&R. Only scored 19 goals in 20 matches, conceding 23. There again, we have only scored 22 and conceded 42, so who knows? Most of all we need to see a better attitude on Saturday, with at least some attempt to go forwards and score. A case of real penetration against the Maidenhead?😁😁😁
If you like goals, Dorking are the team to watch with 80, 35v45.

I won't be there - so we'll probably win!
And, if it's anything like the last rail strike Saturday when I had to drive my daughter to London, I'll probably be sitting in solid traffic on the bloody A2 for several hours...

There have been decent performances amongst the dross.

That's not great news, much as I like Fowler he's far better in the middle. Tom's is an odd one, but at least some good news on Smith and Gandour.

Guess Gavin will be pretty upset. He was an ever present last season and remains a fine all round athlete, albeit one who has started to finds things tougher in the NL. No mention of Joe Ellul, so presumably he is available. Be good to see him partner Greenidge in central defence. He does have a decent long pass in him, if we are still going to play that way.

Doesn't 'pass' imply that the ball is aimed (at least roughly) at another player (preferably one on your own side)?

Presumably, they have been practicing hard all week at hitting long balls into empty spaces - including corners, attacking set pieces etc. Taking a long time over throw ins requires work too. ☹️ I wonder though if the FIFA decree on added time will filter down to our level? That said, only five minutes in total last night - which was about an hour too long as far as watching England was concerned. Please Hak, can we have some attacking play today?

Now here's a surprise. One nil to a fine goal from Dom, set up by Jerome, who is captain, raiding forward. Joe Ellul off though, to an innocuous looking injury, with Lyons Foster on.
And it had had all started so well, though Barham has just hit the bar. More action already than the whole of last week.

So many, long stoppages, should be at least eight minutes add on, 12 if the world cup. Nice free kick from them, but could have been 5-0 instead of 2-1. Jack hit the bar, Christy missed two sitters. Could be two all though. And just five mins added.
