For the first time this season the Stones are in range on a day when I’m around and Leeds aren’t at home.
For those who haven’t arranged tickets yet, you can buy on the day at their ticket office or a little pop up stall outside the ground BUT match day prices increase by £3 each after midday, so well worth buying online in advance on their website.

Thanks, been trying to get this type of info out of them for the past few days with no luck! You wouldn’t know if we can park our coach nearby do you?

An incredible fixture. Twelve years ago Scunthorpe beat Crystal Palace home and away in league fixtures and also competed in the same division as Leeds, Leicester and Nottingham Forest.

Presumably, we have never played them before?

Presumably, we have never played them before? 14 Oct 1989 Scunthorpe United v Maidstone United 1-0 League Division Four 21 Mar 1990 Maidstone United v Scunthorpe United 1-1 League Division Four 15 Sep 1990 Maidstone United v Scunthorpe United 6-1 League Division Four 26 Jan 1991 Scunthorpe United v Maidstone United 2-2 League Division Four 07 Sep 1991 Scunthorpe United v Maidstone United 2-0 League Division Four 04 Apr 1992 Maidstone United v Scunthorpe United 0-1 League Division Four And of course famously the game that never happened. The first game of the 92-93 season was away at Scunthorpe, but we obviously didn’t turn up and field a team and the team folded and restarted as a youth team on its journey back to what we see now at the Gallagher.

Presumably, we have never played them before? As Tony G has pointed out just over 30 years ago we were due to open the 92/93 season at Scunny but the club folded, we were now defunct.Programmes for the game are still in circulation today. For our other visits we were not allowed in their social club but my influences at that time secured 55 tickets for the away coach travellers to enter the club on this occasion alas we never arrived. I would like at this moment to point out that this is what happens when you throw everything at an unrealistic dream, a lesson some of you youngsters should take on board. You have never seen your club die, we have, don't, repeat don't let it happen again

Thanks folks! Hadn't realised we crossed paths back in our FL days. As for Saturday, it would be right and proper if the pendulum swung our way for once and we had a clear win, giving them a right stuffing even. Football is fickle mistress though, so who knows?

I have plumped for a 2-2 draw but have the feeling we may just nick it. Of course it depends on the ref and some luck but maybe it us our week. Time will tell

No idea personally, but they do have good parking at the ground from looking at it from Street View or Google Earth. I rang 01724 747670 yesterday (didn't get an answer until the afternoon - perhaps it's a part time office) and spoke to a really helpful lass who told me all of the stuff about tickets.

Would have had to do this one solo as nobody was up for it in my circles, and the idea of going alone to the North East by train got the better of me. Regret that now.
Off to East Grinstead vs Sevenoaks in the FA Vase instead!

I have already sent this to Tim for coach info.

Trying to do a ground I've not done before so it will probably be Merstham, East Grinstead or Larkfield & New Hythe. Anyone in the know recommend one of the three? Think tomorrow will be ground number 118, looking forward to finally creeping past the 120 mark at some point this year hopefully.
