I see some supporters have got together to gift Beth £330 as a thank you from us.
That is precisely £330 more than the club offered.
5 years service to the club, no notice and no compensation.

Yeah, that’s a great gesture from the fan that set it up and those who donated. 5 years service - paid service though, right?

Wonder if the outrage would be quite so loud if it was an unattractive middle aged man with a family to support.

If she didn't have a contract then neither her or the employer are protected therefore unless a verbal agreement is made (which doesn't really mean anything imo), either party can leave with no notice (its advised a week but most times doesnt happen). If she had left with no notice would there have been this outrage that she wasn't loyal? I doubt it.

Treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself.
Depends of course as to your values.
Us people share a rich diversity of opinions about whats right and wrong, good and bad, etc
As somebody else implied, you get good employers and you get the other type.
For some people a dismissal without notice to a loyal member of staff is good business sense, to others its somerhing very different.

I worked for a company on a self employed basis for 5 years and got the boot one day as well. Working in the office one day, called to the main office, packing up my desk that same day never to work a minute longer there ever again. Didn't even get to say goodbye to people.
It's callous and it's more mentally tough than anything, but it happens and these things usually turn out to be for the best as bigger and better opportunities always come along. It's been done insensitively, but Beth is on an upward trajectory and will move onto something exciting.

Does anyone know who our physio at barnet was? Do we know if the club is recruiting a part time member of staff, outsourcing, already have someone in house, etc?

Typical forum bollocks. Get off your high horses and maybe see if the club issue a statement as to why, not that it really is our right to know. It is a shame, but Beth will get another physio job elsewhere and it will work out for her. This is a football club. It wouldn't exist without the " Fans " so why is it not the " Fans " right to be told about what is happening in their club ? I would suggest that it IS their right to know why Beth has departed?!!! No doubt Beth will find and hopefully get a better position but that is not the point. Hopefully " the typical forum bollocks " as you put it will get a response with an Owners Statement sometime soon !! IMO fans do not have the right to know the reasons behind a member of backroom staffs' dismissal, it is extremely rare that any club would announce the reasons behind the dismissal other than "Cost cutting" or "moving in another direction" the few times that a club does announce the reason is usually down to there being a major incident involving that backroom staff member that is public knowledge for them being involved in. Now before you jump on your high horse Terry and Oliver are businessmen, and lets be honest more successful businessmen than anyone on here or our facebook group, they have to sometimes make decisions that are unpopular, however, I still believe that the release of Beth SHOULD have been handled better with at the very least a "THANK YOU" statement for her service over the past 5 years.

"Beth's dismissal should have been handled better". Really ! Tbh I don't think it could have been dealt with any worse. Beth was always popular with supporters and with good reason. I notice the forum has not exactly been bouncing the last few days with markedly less interest in the match tomorrow. Same with the Facebook Group. Like one or two others, I'm missing Saturday's match.

Well we saw Beth's replacement in action.
Looked like a gentleman of somewhat mature years making his way slowly to an injured player.
Trouble is, the time it took meant that the player had either recovered by the time he got there or he had fallen asleep. Seemed like he needed some sort of transport aid to get him around the pitch.
Not impressed !
