If the Club choose not to comment or put something out, then we are going to face another 'Who the f sacked Jay Saunders? was it Bill/terry/Oliver or Dave Carpenter?' Speculation.
There was terrible fallout after that debacle that was only finaly puntuated by covid and ascension.
The Chants from the townend after the sacking during the matches The clown the signings...we had more on our books than some League 2 clubs... The player Managers The meet the management evening and chage of hearts shortly after John Still
It cost so much to undo that mess - and cost is what matters. They too know the value of the Pound...

I’m with meerkat. I said I was keeping my powder dry as the rumour Mills just causes issues. He said this, it must be that.
I’d also agree with Pat and what has been suggested on a few other subjects like injuries and transfers - the comms coming out of the club are poor. The usual post match questions. The same answers and nothing else.
The only thing we keep hearing is that there will be 3 or 4 more faces and nothing happens.

Understandable emotion and incredulity, empathy and some disgust on this site and the FB page. I believe that this strength of feeling means that fans, and Beth, deserve a word of explanation from Oliver/Terry/Bill on this one, as they are a great Senior Management Team who have always been morally upstanding and so in this case I think that they have a moral responsibility to justify/explain their decision and/or re-instate her and/or "see her alright" if there were valid reasons for moving her on..............walls of silence don't sit well with paying fans at times like this, and wont help in increasing attendances that are already static. Fans have no RIGHT to know what decisions are made at the top but sometimes it is good for clubs to be open and honest when there is so much widespread emotion involved - if indeed the club WANTS to stay engaged with its fanbase? They don't care about the fans if they did they would never had agreed to a Friday night swap for Notts County. They had 2 answers Yes or No and they chose yes to f**k up all the plans made by supporters, and its not the first time they have knifed us in the back over the years. The fact that they have not even announced her departure with or without a than you for your efforts speaks volumes, well it does to me. If anyone should have gone it's Big George our defensive coach that's going we'll isn't it,as suspect off the pitch as he was on it. I think Beth will be better off away from these backstabbing cunts.🤬🤬🤬

Exactly. It's minor compared to the Jay/Clown debacle. but it sends the same message. And it begs the question as to whether they really learnt the lesson last time. I hope I'm wrong and it's just a communications cock-up, because, although the fans have no right to know these things, as we're constantly being told, the club also has no right to expect fans to just keep turning up.

Interesting that Stoneslive just made a reference to Beth, not realising she had departed the Stones. A bit of embarrassment and excuse making for the error but…
You only know what you know..

Typical forum bollocks. Get off your high horses and maybe see if the club issue a statement as to why, not that it really is our right to know. It is a shame, but Beth will get another physio job elsewhere and it will work out for her. This is a football club. It wouldn't exist without the " Fans " so why is it not the " Fans " right to be told about what is happening in their club ? I would suggest that it IS their right to know why Beth has departed?!!! No doubt Beth will find and hopefully get a better position but that is not the point. Hopefully " the typical forum bollocks " as you put it will get a response with an Owners Statement sometime soon !!

Jay is a legend but it was time to go, probably should of gone the season before with a 17!! game winless run. Our owners have got enough credit in the bank right now, despite a couple of weird decisions I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt right now given how much they’ve done for the club. Although articles in the KM preseason stating that they know the league so much better are questionable since we seem to be making the same poor decisions, ie recruitment which has been unacceptable and given helen coopers comments on Twitter this does seem to be down to the owners as before I couldn’t tell whether is was them or Hak. Talking of Hak he has a hell of a lot more time left and he’s a very pragmatic manager, at least he’s trying with the switch to the 5 back.
At the end of the day they’ve asserted multiple times that Maidstone United should be playing National league football on the other hand they’ve also stated multiple times that they need another investor to truly compete

Anyone remember when Paul Scally bought Gillingham and replaced the old ladies in the tea hut with younger models? It actually made local TV news. This discussion has more than four pages in it. Thank you Beth for everything you did for Maidstone United and best of luck for the future.

Seriously you're comparing a wanker like Scally and the 'tea ladies' silliness to our club sacking a well-liked employee without even bothering to say anything about it?

I’ve worked at companies who have made staff redundant, sometimes with crucial skills. No employer deliberately sabotages their own business. We might not like or understand the decision, but emotional posts on social media aren’t going to change anything. Like I said, thanks Beth and best of luck in the future. What more do you want?

It could be due to the inflationary environment we find ourselves in. I mean, the floodlights are on a a lot and the cost of everything is going or has gone up. Wages for existing staff will probably need to rise. It may not have been budgeted for originally.
