Could you expand on your comment that we'll need Hadler if we play 5 at the back?
I'm not a footballer, so don't know the detail of how things work on the pitch, but is it as simple as three can manage themselves, but 5 will need someone behind them helping to sort them out? I take it that you're also assuming that Mersin doasn't, or wouldn't, do this? Tom has much more of a physical presence, clearly, and appears to be more 'involved' in the game than Mersin, but I don't remember hearing him shouting much last season - certainly not like Worgs!
Of course! I was simply just acknowledging the fact that everyone’s main reason for having Hadler back in the side is his relationship and communication with the back 4 of last season. Mersin doesn’t typically communicate which is the reason most fans who don’t rate him would like him dropped. Therefore Hadler (being more familiar with the players who would feature in the back 5) could potentially help to organise them since we are unfamiliar with the formation😁. Just a theory, of course it’s all speculative!
The communication and relationship between the keeper and his defence is vital.
Add onto that much better distribution, much better kicking and at least a better command of the 6 yard box, it all adds up to quite a difference.
