Chickens are coming home to roost. Can hardly blame the demise on 2 player injuries. Poor recruitment over the summer has taken the team backwards. Worse defence in the league, quite a reverse of last season. Wonder how much longer Hak's obsession with Mersin will last ?

The team looks ready and able to be battered everywhere we go.

Look on the bright side - we only really have two problems:
We can't score and we can't defend.

Shame Hak doesnt think Alabi is good enough to start. Barham looks a shadow of last season's player. Michael Phillips played today for Barnet. We badly need a strong holding midfielder. The team has lost the hustle, bustle and aggression that won so many matches last season. Defensively we are def the worst in the league. Tom Hadler not good enough to be given a chance ? That's a joke.

If you all want to feel better go and read the Darts forum after they lost to Beckenham in the FA Cup, or the G***s forum as they lost again and sit one place above the NL trap door. Think of it as therapy :-)

The manner of our losing away matches has become embarrassing. The match is beyond our reach in the first half time after time. Promotion or not the team has gone backwards. All of our defeats could easily have been heavier. Team recruitment has been disappointing. We needed to strengthen not weaken. Surely Hadler is worth a selection now, Hak has to do the right thing. Hopefully Ellul will be back aoon

This season is all about staying up.. not pushing for the playoffs. Once we get our best players back and add some NL robustness we will be fine. You are right Steve as I said to anyone that would listen settle for 19th or above. Going back over old ground but this is why I was a staunch Jay supporter as he kept us in this league which is no mean feat but the league has got even stronger. I still think we would struggle with our injured players back. As good as we were last season the step up is huge and for whatever reason we have not strengthened the team with better players. Big mistake. Never fear i understand you will be getting one of our fringe players on loan to keep you up. Stuart Lewis all over again !

On the plus side, Gillingham lost at home and are now bottom three. If that isn’t an incentive to stay in this league nothing is. None of the top sides managed a win today, including league leaders Chesterfield who we play at home next week.

The squad has not improved on last season at all. Pattison couldn’t get in the starting line up last season plays every game this season. Unfortunately Hak has recruited poorly. Signed woods, alabi and Cawley and they don’t play. Our team is not physical at all and we get bullied at set pieces. We have no height in our team at all. Summer recruitment has been very poor. Owners and Hak need to take responsibility of that. York got rid of their promotion team and bought in a whole new squad and look how they are doing. They don’t concede many and are tough to beat. We just let every team dominate our defence.

As a distraction exercise to avoid the Black Dog of post-match depression...
Comparison of this season after 9 games to our other NL seasons:
This season: 11 points 15th (W3 D2 L4)
2016-17: 14 points 12th (4 2 3) - 3 games away from 18 points and 11th place - after which the wheels came off
2017-18: 12 points 15th (3 3 3) - 9 games away from 32 points and 5th place - after which the wheels came off
2018-19: 7 points 19th (2 1 6) - the wheels had already come off

The team has gone into fast reverse.
Players not good enough for NLS are now getting selected.
Hak needs to write off his player recruitment effort for this season.
So poor.

Over 500 Stones supporters stayed on to appaud the team after being on the wrong end of another battering.
It could so easily have been worse
Bromly supporters just left quietly after picking up the easiest 3 points on offer this season.
