Strange things happen in football... you never know. Cut out the silly mistakes and we are a good side. We have given some shockers away. I think we will see a lot of George type defending. Might want to pump a few extra balls. As Sword said, he, and I reckon most, would appreciate that approach

It is true that indivuduals are making silly mistakes. If we had cut them all out at Gateshead we would still have been total shite. Hak needs to turn water into wine in time for Saturday

I’m a musician. We have a saying - “an amateur will practice until he can get it right. A professional will practice until he cannot get it wrong.”
The difference between water and wine, as Sam characterises our team, is exactly this one. We can at least draw against the best if we turn up thinking, acting and trained like professionals. That’s what Gateshead did.
How do we get into a professional mindset? First, we acknowledge that we haven’t got there yet. Second, we work like stink on the training ground, way above and beyond the official schedule. i’d settle on Saturday for elimination of daft mistakes PLUS 90+ minutes of concentration and hard work. We might still lose but at least we would have showed improvement and some bloody attitude.

Hak's mantra is you have to work harder than the opposition..this is our best hope on Saturday. Outwork and outthink. Hak's tactics and substitutions must be spot on... and the fans must stick with the team!

Steve, both you and I have been watching this game for a shuddering amount of years and I suspect that you know a heavy defeat on Saturday and the glory boys will begin to turn on the club, the players and more importantly Hak and eith the tough schedule in the next six games could see all change in the attitude of even some of our more easy going fans. It's the way of the world and Terry,Oliver and Bill will have to back Hak 100% through the jeers.

I am predicting a 1-0 win, Jack barham hattrick and mersin keeping a clean sheet. Let's hope mersin`S misses dose the laundry on Saturday a 1-0 win but Barham scoring a hat-trick - How's that work out? I'm going for a 1-5 defeat our record against Solihull is shocking, it will be a dire game and we'll have someone sent off due to their ****housery As for our record against them: 16/17: Lost 2-4 and Lost 2-0 17/18: Drew 1-1 and Lost 1-0 18/19: Lost 1-3 and Lost 5-0 (This was the TV game) So out of a potential 18 points we have taken 1 Scored 4 and conceded 16 Oh but I will add I'll still be there hoping that a miracle happens and we pull a win out of our hats. try reading my entire thread, the answer is in there?

If the media frenzy is anything to go by, Her Maj is about to to be subbed off. What if that happens before Saturday?
We haven't had a monarch die for such a long time (even an old git like me, has never seen it happen) that I've no idea what happens.
Will it just be a minute of two of silence before the game, and perhaps a military band playing the national anthem, or will triva like football games get postponed?

They have announced at the Test Match that should she peg it overnight there will be no play tomorrow, with the rain forecast they'll probably be none anyway.

Well that was a rare prediction I got right! RIP Her Maj. I'm far from being a royalist, but I'm sad to see her go - end of an era.
As for the bloke they've subbed on in her place - not impressed so far...

The game should be played with appropriate public commemoration.
If a game falls on the day of the funeral, the game should be postponed.

Part of me wishes he'd gone for 'Kong' though...
