My thoughts are that there is money in the budget to bring people in. Hak has not spent it all because he needed to see which players did step up and which are finding it tough. No point bringing in new players if the NLS boys can do the job - and they deserve the opportunity. As I said, I would give it 10 games before making wholesale changes. Michael Phillips was always going to be a big player to replace.. one of our most underrated performers last season... although not last time we were in the NL when he was voted Player of the Year.

A less than complimentary post regarding Saturday’s match on the Torquay forum
“ Well, it's that time again... time to visit my least favourite ground in the world of football... and, yes, I've been to Whitehawk!
The (fake) Stones (I consider Wealdstone to be honoured with this monicker) have been in freefall of late, conceding 4 at home to the mighty Dorking and then being out-played (understatement looking at the highlights) by money-bags Wrexham who only managed to put 5 past a very woeful defence.
So, can we carry on the sequence for the beleaguered (fake) Stones? ... concede 4.... then concede 5.... and Saturday.... will they concede 6? .... As much as my heart would love this to be the case, the way we are playing - and only having one measly goal in us in the opening four games - my head says 0-0 draw written all over it.
Just a few things for those travelling up (or down) on Saturday: There is no parking at the ground and virtually non-existent street parking but there are a couple of car parks close by... I tend to park in Fremlin Walk car park and follow my nose to where the great unwashed of Kent gather at Legoland. And, shame this isn't an evening game because it will mean that the Maidstone Yoof (who are normally tucked up in bed by 9) will be in full (high-pitched) voice and giving it large.... gotta laugh. “

Do sour grapes make good whine? Very good! I suppose when you're an 'EFL club' that has spent so long in the NL - and has such a poor record against an upstart 'Lego' club, sour grapes are only natural...

According to the NL Facebook page we don't even have a game this Saturday and Torquay have a free weekend, have we fallen so low in their estimation after 4 games that they don't even recognise us as an NL club now.

Without even going to check, I can already tell that post was by the Tonbridge fan who also supports Torquay haha Nobody’s forcing him to attend. Tonbridge are away at Braintree if he’s that squeamish about visiting his first club’s bigger rival.

Also, the old Maidstone United was formed two years before Wealdstone. We're the original Stones pal. Hope we stuff them and this sad act has to trudge out of 'Legoland', past all of us unwashed and back to his car having seen the original Stones put whichever team he's decided to support this weekend to the sword. Thanks for coming, bye bye.
