Well Arsenal won at a canter,Wet Spam were hopeless and Osasuna ,who had a 100 % home record, get a player sent off still dominate the game with 10 men and lose 2-0. This is another prime example of just how difficult football predictions can be. I am still confident of overall victory but my profit is ebbing away but I still have £17 of the bookies money to play with.

Not much footy to choose from but I've eeked out 2 lines
Line 1: Leyton O, Lincoln,Sheffield wed,Peterborough and Ipswich in league Cup will earn £56
Line 2: Bishop's St,Haringey,Hornchurch, Potters bar and Horsham in the Isthmian prem will bring in £112.
Not overly confident on either but may get a free betback

No free bet but not despondent just yet,this time last season I was £115 down and turned it around but 6 weeks into the season my yearly target of £500 profit seems a long way off. I may have to change my attack and think outside of the box to arrest the slide. For now though I am still £7 in profit so cannot complain too much.

I thought it was an established fact that his wife ordered him killed to guarantee her sons elevation to the throne and the red hot poker was indeed the murder weapon. |

Whilst not wishing to get into a protracted debate, the 'poker' story was probably concocted to further discredit his personality and highlight possible personal proclivities. There is also a theory that he wasn't murdered but went into hiding and died 3 years later. As such I will stick with 'allegedly'.
Regardless let's get this thread back on track on the eternal conflict between The Sword of Tonbridge and Ser William of Hill.

Well this weekend I've gone for a simple 4 fold with wins for Bradford,Colchester,Eastleigh and Chesterfield. Returns 12.3/1. I don't like betting against the Stones but ,unless it's a draw, a no lose situation. Just had lunch in the Spoons Tonbridge and put £10 in the fruity and walked away with £79, happy days!😁

A few facts and figures. I have been keeping my records for the last 20 years. Each year I aim for £500 profit and I have achieved this on 12 occasions,a further 4 occasions has seen a profit and only 4 years have I faltered. My best season saw me win £3127.43, my worst season saw me lose £1835.96. Over 20 years I am £13, 107.07 in profit which works out at around £650 per year profit . Its getting harder though,last year I had just £137.77 profit and this year is shaping up much the same way but I will prevail in the end.

When I worked for Hays I invested in the shares scheme buying shares at an agreed price £1.11 and selling them after the mandatory 5 year scheme for an equivalent of around £40. I spread the money around my family as gifts ,coz I'm so nice, decorated house top to bottom and replaced all old things with new things. I had a dabble on the stock market making good money out of Psion,Carbury investments and Pacific Media but took a big hit on Orbis and do I called it a day with a modicum of success. If I hadn't given up my accountancy apprenticeship in a bank I may have ended up in the city,we'll never know. |

Line 1:Fylde,Darlington,Chippenham,Welling and Havant & Looneytuneville. Odds 26.25/1
Line 2:Hyde,Radcliffe B,Coalville, Chesham and Salisbury. Odds 25.5/1
The way things have gone this season so far I don't expect to win but you never know.
