I was there today, hoping but not expecting. The full back problem remains our biggest issue, it nullifies our threat going forward on both flanks with players playing out of position and the opposition seem to be able to cross with relative ease. The loanee, Vincent, looked erratic when he came on but if he is not the solution send him back and get to work recruiting. Elull didn’t appear second half so we may need a reshuffle anyway. I also think we lack movement off the ball, which feeds into a lack of composure when we have it because we spend too long on the ball looking for an option and get caught. That all affects the confidence and we end up playing too many long balls. We have to find a way to play. I think our fitness feeds into the same problem as despite it being touted as a strength both Dorking and Wrexham looked to have much more gas in the tank. All this sounds depressing and negative but they are just things to work on. We must make ourselves hard to beat before we go on a run of losing. One thing we can help with is the confidence of the players. It annoys me that some of our fans sings chants like ‘how shit must you be, it’s only 4-0’, ‘we had a shot’ and pretending we scored a goal and celebrating. If anyone with influence reads this then please try to stop it. I get the gallows football humour but you are basically making a conscious effort to sing against the team you support. Anyway like I always say, COYS win, lose or draw.

Player recruitment last season was great.
Does anybody seriously think that this season we have recruited players that have strengthened the squad ?

OK, I didnt go but got depressed enough getting feedback from my mates who were there
Flashscores just made it worse
The BT highlights were a joke- we were so rubbish.
No criticism of Hak and Terry but at the moment the team is going backwards and fast

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear,
How have we got so bad, so quickly,
Tinkering with player positions has been a disaster
What's happened to our much vaunted fitness ?
Stones have the worst defensive record in the league and it could easily be much worse.
Tom Hadler has been lucky to avoid the past couple of matches
Just a shambles
If Terry was angry after Dorking, what now ?

It’s not rocket science is it. We are playing much better teams and our team is currently weaker than last season so what are people expecting??

We played one of the best teams in the league away from home in front of nearly 10,000 fans. We should just take that in for a moment! We need to be beating the likes of Dorking and just hope we can find some luck when we play the Big teams. We have signed players like Woods and Cawley who were very average national league players last year. Even our Spanish master only lasted 6 or so games in this league for Waymouth when he was in this league! We are playing players out of position far too early in the year. I realise why, Hoyte is a great right back, but far too one footed to be playing on the left. I think JBW will be too slow for this league when he comes back. Basically even when we have a fully fit squad we will still struggle. In an ideal word we sign 3 or 4 players, but we continue to live within our means and that is not going to change. Four points from 4 games is bang on the money for our team in this league. It’s going to be a long old season. I think we can all agree we just want to see 110% from the players every week and play for the shirt.

Just out of interest -no points being made or axes being ground!
Comparison to our 2016 season start:
H York 1-1 A Ald 0-1 A Chest 3-1 H Brain 2-1
W2 D1 L1 F6 A4 +2 7pts 7th
Rest of the season:
Our form dipped slightly, but was still pretty good - up to Torquay away:
P8 W3 D2 L3 F11 A14 -3 11pts 11th
Then the wheels fell off:
P19 W3 D2 L14 11pts 21st
Until Jay's re-build kicked in:
P15 W8 D5 L2 29pts 14th

A lot of negative vibes going around, methinks. Unlike last season, where we were a big team in a small league, the reverse is now true. Did folk really expect us to storm this league? Sorry, but at the moment, we do not have the resources. If JB-W and Luque were fit, would they prosper in this league? Love to think so, but not sure. We are being criticised for a 'cavalier' approach. Where does that come from? The Dorking game for sure, but that was a one off, with both teams looking to prove a point from last season, but certainly didn't see us being cavalier against York and feel sure we couldn't have been at Altrincham either, especially in the second half. So, forget Dorking. At worst it should have been 2-3, while on another day, we might have won. We got stuffed yesterday and it probably won't be the only time this season. 10k crowd, massive financial clout, a team very experienced in this league and expecting to be in L2. There are half a dozen sides, at least, in this league with the potential to do the same to us, I'm afraid. Hak and Terry will modify their approach. Players will learn. If we lose the next four games, it becomes a problem, especially if we get stuffed and/or meakly surrender, but right now it is just a setback. We have to make the most of what we've got and hopefully strengthen the squad, but we certainly cannot expect everything to go our own way - even if the referees are fair!

No, NO, NO. Stones were bloody awful yesterday. What is this with some supporters ? Loving the "LAMBS TO THE SLAUGHTER" We are clearly inadequate for this league and are bound to get hammered ? We shouldnt be surprised at be slaughtered at Wrexhsm. Get used to getting beaten regularly. What a bunch of defeatists.
THANK GOODNESS HAK AND TERRY DONT COME FROM THE SAME SCHOOL OF LOSERS.
They are disgusted and apologetic with the performance.
Quite right too.
The fightback begins on Monday.

Well said Crowman !
We should not have to get used to pathetic performances like yesterday.
I liked the manner in which Hak has taken defeat and it is nothing to like how some of the wets are excusing the team.
Time to get up, wipe ourselves down and fight, fight, fight.

"Poor performance"
"Totally out of character"
Who says so ?
Hak himself.
He apologises to the supporters for a totally unacceptable performance.
All this rubbish about Stones being minnows and what did we expect in this league, doesn't wash with Hak and Terry.

Interesting article in Sunday Times Culture section on Wrexham. Shame they misspelled our co-owner as Oliver Nash!

The thing is the step up from the National South to the National League is like going from the Championship to the Premier League and we have not made any quality signings. True we have had a awful run of injuries which has not helped but Haks loyalty to last seasons squad has come back to haunt us.
