He retired from playing but surely he was going to carry on doing something in football ?

Taking a break after 20 years in the game perhaps. I haven’t heard anything and am sure we would have. Perhaps he will do his badges?

Whatever happened to Big George ? Still an absolute tank, working out every day and making trips to the US regularly as some kind of ambassador for Wolves. Good on big George - retirement suits him!

Read today that Wrexham paid £300,000 for one striker from a league One team. That is the same money as an average National South sides entire yearly wage budget! Without investment we are going to be bottom third at best, and the sooner we realise this as a fan base the better for everyone’s stress levels. We do need that Stuart Lewis style midfielder to come in to drive the midfield and maybe a centre back to steady the back four, which is not too much to ask. I not advocating taking 19 year olds on loan from league clubs, but I’m sure Hak knows of a few suitable players that he has his eye on. I’m sure Hak is fully aware his recruitment pre season has not quite hit the mark.

Our owners asked for investment a while back and as far as we know, nobody came forward. Just like when they asked for £150,000 from the local business community towards the new ground. Let’s face it, it’s just Oliver, Terry and whatever we’re paying into the club. I don’t want to compete with Wrexham’s budget, even if that means relegation. But there are plenty of clubs with similar and lower budgets than ours. So it’s about spending wisely.
