Jesus wept, we've just been promoted as champions and some of you still have to find something to moan about. There's nothing so negative as a Maidstone supporter. Not sure anyone is moaning at all, some fans are keener than others to hear about releases, retentions, signings etc Some clubs are able to manage this process fairly openly, others tend to keep things very tight (as per Stones) Whatever, it will all get a lot more interesting when we actually see the shape of the squad that Hak is putting together. Ideally, around 13 of last season's batch plus up to another 5 or 6 new signings imo. Not sure that I agree with you that previous managers have 'always' done well with pre season recruitment But that point doesn't apply to Hakan, may his brilliant record continue for ever and a day.

3 weeks does seem a fair old time for not a single signing to have been announced by the club Are you Danny in disguise? His fishing posts produced no reaction, so you are having a cast now!

More worrying is the lack of news about super Jack. Plenty of clubs must have been sniffing sround. Sword says 'money talks'. In which case it will be "thanks for the memories". When I listened to a Radio Kent interview with him I got the impression he was waiting to see what offers he got. He didn't commit himself one way or the other so I wouldn't be surprised if he goes. With the additional travelling and I think he has a young family the extra time away might not suit him. The same reason Jason Prior gave for leaving Dorking

Nothing to get depressed about.
Michael Phillips may be on his way to Barnet but that is pure speculation and I wouldn't put any money on it.
JBW on the other hand, well I havn't got a clue really, but the vibes are all positive and after the season Stones have enjoyed, supporters have a right to feel positive.
I reckon Super Jack is the player most at risk after his outstanding season and with strikers commanding a premium. As somebody says 'money talks'
Just hope the club has deep enough pockets.

I think there must be a good chance he will sign, why not, chance to play in the top league of non league, has he played at that level before, maybe with barnet only I think

The most interesting thing about this thread so far is how many different miss-spellings of 'Hak' people's phones are making due to predictive text. So far we've had Hal and Has.
My phone always wants to make it Hal.
Any more variations, while we wait for real news?

I don’t believe £bbsfleet are a shining example of how a club should be run. If anything, whatever they do Maidstone should be doing the opposite. Next people will be calling for a new tiny main stand with a wonky roof, and crumbling open terraces. Maybe we could build a theme park on the rowing club land and not pay our players on time while running at a massive loss.

That's a strange one. The earlier post simply demonstrated Ebbsfleet's transparent approach towards letting their supporters know about player recruitment. Nothing to do with how the two clubs are run or who has the biggest bananas.

As reported by forum insiders the lack of news on signings by the club can be explained by players being on contract until 1st June and in any case they are away on holiday.

Apparently Alfie Pavey on a live stream has said that he and Michael Phillips have signed for Barnet too. Nothing official but seems likely as no smoke without fire.
