Anyone else tired of being asked randomly for charity donations when buying stuff? It’s bad enough every time I shop in Tescos without the my football club joining in. I give to charities of my own choice at the time of my choosing. This is spot on. Being told you have to give to one of the charities this faceless website insists on just to buy a season ticket does leave a bad taste in the mouth. Are there any local Maidstone charities listed? If not, why not??

It shouldn't be this hard. My first effort to buy a season ticket was all a bit hit and miss, I just didn't have confidence in the process. My mate Joe, managed to pay £80.00 over what he intended. Good luck getting his 'rebate'.

The thing is I normally avoid websites like this. If it ain't straightforward and user friendly then forget it. One more chance and if not happy it will be down the club to sort.

Ebbsfleet fan here, I’ve been reading this thread about the problems you are all having buying season tickets, it sounds like a complete mess. Good luck getting it sorted.

If not, why not?? I went on via a laptop and got a long list of charities but couldn't get through the process. I went on via the iPhone and only got Kent Hospice, I think, and managed to complete the process. All a bit strange.

Simon from the club office replied to me. Hopefully initial problems are over. As I suggested if you have trouble go to the club office and do it with Simon
“Hi Tony Thank you for your email. There have been some initial bugs and teething problems but the system, when I used it for a customer who popped in yesterday with his emails worked perfectly. The guys at Ticketpass support have been very proactive with problems flagged to them. We have also processed nearly £100k of season tickets through this website since Tuesday so I am hoping that the majority of people have not had an issue. I have a meeting with Ticketpass tomorrow and we will ensure that their FAQs are helpful. We have not had many people contacting us since the initial problems on Tuesday so I am hoping that the majority of issues have been resolved. We are collating the comments people are making about the system and will provide FAQ for these specific issues asap in order for people to complete their purchases as smoothly as possible. Regards Simon”

After a false start on day one when the site just wouldn't advance beyond a point, I clicked the get help (or whatever it's called) button and got an automated reply. 23 hours later there was no further response, so I got back to them and to be fair got a reply in moments suggesting to try again. Finally got around to trying again this morning and it seems to have worked although I didn't see a choice of charities, but I'm happy enough with the Kent Hospice that came up.
Afterwards it gave me the option to assign the ticket to someone else, so I put my dad's name in but as he's a bit of a technophobe he has no email address, so we'll wait and see if that has scuppered things at all. Start ups are all well and good, and the ethical angle is good too but there's no excuse for going to market with a system that looks like it was built by a student twenty years ago.
To be honest I've missed picking up the phone and having a few minutes to chat with Simon or Bill who typically have looked after me in previous years.

I also got a ticket for my grandson who hasn’t an email address. I assigned it to him and received a response in his name but confirmation from the club is in my name. Will be interesting to see what is on the ticket!!!

The same happened to me for my Grandson. I contacted the Company who told me to let them know by email his name and they would set it right. We wait and see of course. I have not got the greatest of confidence in the system. 😁

So, can we still just go down to the ground and pay?
They've got me down as full price, so I am reluctant to use the online system. I'm also renewing for my daughter (who IS full price), so this has got potential f**k-up written all over it.
The old system was so easy, both for us and them - why change it?? OK, I know it's not convenient for everyone to go down to JWW, but for those who prefer to do that, why can't we?
