My mum sadly passed away three weeks ago tonight, due to a combination of covid, pheumonia and lung cancer, which we only found out she had four days earlier. Her funeral is two days before when would have been her 89th birthday.
I am sorting out the eulogy with a reverend on Sunday. I know when she moved down here from East London in 1970,she got a job as a secretary at a catering supplies company In upper stone street,I quite sure it is what is now the careco building Just before Campbell road
The only problem is, I can't find out what the company was called!
Can anyone help me please?

I've got a feeling it may have been something like automatic catering?
I know their rival company was called autobar

It turned out it was called THE AUTOMATIC CATERING COMPANY after all.
One of the people who came to the funeral ( which was two days before her 89th birthday),who only knew my mum in later life recognised her picture from her younger years in the order of service brochure,as a lady who worked with her mum at the automatic catering company in the 70s. Small world or what?

I forgot to explain, the lady never realised that she had known my mum fifty years earlier, as the lady who worked on the next desk to her mum!
