wrt The photo posted on 9/12/21 of a team photo (+names) from 1903-04
[not on facebook, so replying here)
The photo is not MCI, the 'new' Vics or MU Reserves but
Maidstone Albion who were the winners of
Division 2 of the Maidstone & District Leagie in 1903/04.
'At the League's awards evening the medals were presented to:
Matthews, Latter, Marsden, Grigsby, Watts, Huckstep, Johnson, Pearson, Goodwin, Williams & Hall.
The medals were presented by Mr. Mendel (in the absence of Colonel Warde MP) ... who stated that he "much regretted that no trophy was provided for the winning club of Division II, and if Colonel Warde did not give a cup next season he would do so"'

It seems as though a shield was provided soon afterwards or one borrowed for the photo!
