We all know how this story goes. At least they won’t destroy a proper football club.

I have much to be ashamed of in my long life. Mocking fans of Bedford’s second biggest non league team on an obscure message board is not even close to making the list. Looking into it, it’s even stranger. Bedford Town are top of the Southern League central division with attendances of 400+. Bedford FC are lower down the pyramid with maybe 50 fans. Both play way outside the town centre beyond the motorway ring road. If you had serious aspirations to be in the EFL and Premier League, wouldn’t you take over the bigger club?

You too can be the proud owner of a “Real” Bedford FC top for only £55. shop.realbedford.com/Here’s Winslow United scoring in the 90th minute to beat Bedford 1-0. Hope he was booked for over-celebrating.

Haven't had chance to listen to the whole thing yet but definitely worth a listen for anyone interested.

Meanwhile, “Real” Bedford’s local rivals Bedford Town were winning 1-0 at Kidlington, until the match was abandoned because the home side refused to come out for the second half. Gotta love non league.

Reading reports that the attendance for “Real” Bedford’s game against London Tigers was an impressive 14 people.
