There is a striker who spends a lot of time on the bench for Ipswich who might benefit from some game time if we could get him on loan. Here's a clue, his initials are JP.

Sadly it does seem that Grant, Barham and Pavey have all proven to be duds.
In truth, their previous goal scoring records never gave room for optimism.
Hak has brought in some very good players for this season, just a shame that such an important part of the team has been found wanting.
Can't be helped, but it is back to the drawing board, Hak probably needs to unload where he can and recruit a couple more able strikers.
Easier said than done and good luck Hak. In truth any change could not possibly be for the worse.
When you think that our favoured striker has been the non scoring Christie Patterson who is a converted winger.
Not his fault that he has been playing out of position for so many matches.
Christie is a very decent, skilful and hard working footballer who we should keep imo, but not as our main striker

Hadi Ghandour has been a dud also

So that's 4 out of 4 duds, not great but at least consistent. Not going to have a moan cause Hak has done well with his recruitment with all but strikers. Probably always a gamble when recruiting in the bargain basement, but none of our named strikers are worth their wages. Need to move on Grant and Barham as soon as he can and then try his luck again.

Hak, could have not bought 2 of those 4 and then signed/afforded Ibby Akanbi, who proved he could score for us

As frustrating as our strikers have been, service has been non-existent in some games. You'd image Barham / Grant / Ghandour would prefer to play off the shoulder of the last defender and have balls fed in behind, but we've barely done that all season, preferring to pump it longer up the field or take it out wide.
It would be interesting to see Barham and Grant have a few chances fall to them in the box.

Fair point BUT can you point to any time in their careers when they have been successful in the art of scoring goals. It beats me how some players manage to earn ther wages, transferring from one club to another season after season, not having achieved anything.

I see another of our 'failed strikers' is on the move again. Jake Embery has signed for Tonbridge. I think he left us for Margate and then left them for Horsham and has moved on again double quick. Talk about a rapid merry go round. Ah well, expect to see him on Boxing Day.

I do think this is a problem almost exclusive to strikers and it’s caused by the fact anyone who is genuinely good commands the sort of wages I suspect we’re not prepared to pay. This leaves everyone else picking over the bones of forwards who are average at best. It also guarantees employment for some players who, as you correctly say, seem to have severe problems finding the net. For sure some of these guys are very lucky to be taking home a wage for playing the game.

But did you know of his brief flirtation with Horsham prior to stepping down even further by joining the orrible mangles

Their 2 top strikers of course, Bradshaw and Evans who both bang in plenty. We seem to have recruited 3 plus a loan signing who just don't cut it. Half the number and improve the quality has a certain ring to it.

So much reliance on goals from Joan Luque, without whom, we would be down the toilet.
