Listening to Hak after the Chatham game, clear they really aren't ready yet, with up to half of the potential first choice players not having played a competitive match in six months. With all respect to Charlton U21s, come the opening match of the season, all the friendlies will have been against sides below our league. Not the greatest preparation, albeit nobody's fault. Indeed, the first few matches could see some interesting results, especially those with undercooked sides coming up against a team who have had a clear preseason.

Sadly it is inevitable that Stones will fall in the undercooked variety. It can't be helped.

Has any other club in NLS suffered 3 successive cancellations ? Supporters will need to show a bit of patience.

Just listened to Hak's post match interview where he looked strangely in the dark. He was happy enough just for players to get some minutes under their belts, agreeing that the match cancellations were really showing in performances Some players are seriously short of match time. It can only get better.

If the players are short of match time then why cannot they play the U23's at the Gallagher, there are 7 days in a week boys after all you are professionals/full time players not just 3 mornings a week.
