No, but Mrs Headstone has, in readiness for an operation tomorrow at East Grinstead. Perhaps we'll see Sword there!

Had to take a day off work unpaid to go to an appointment at pembury, £45 taxi ride later,I'm told that the doctor has not turned up and to go home!

Hospital transport lost me on the system few times and twice I was waiting in pembury, on my own in a corridor for over five hours and not picked up until gone ten in the evening!

Odd the way the appointments they give you are so often so far away. Pre-Covid, I used to have regular x-rays to make sure my cancer hadn't returned and had to go to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, all the way out at Stanmore (beyond the end of the Tube!!). One day I discovered that they also operated an x-ray facility in West London, only a few stops from Victoria, and asked why I couldn't go there instead. "Of course you can", they replied - but no one had thought to ask me if that was easier!! Of course, they also have a perfectly good x-ray facility at Barming, and can transfer x-rays to my consulant in West London or Stanmore in seconds - but apparently this can't be done...

When I had the operation in Maidstone, the bloke in the next bed was actually from Sussex!

Well it's a 2 1 win but at the moment we are looking a decent Isthmian level club rather than NLS. A way to go yet and 2 more weeks.

I reckon Hythe will probably be more pleased with their performance. Plenty of Stones players not seeming properly fit and competitive at present. Looking well undercooked. It really is a matter of catch up, nobodys fault, just bad luck.

Great goal from Tushan featured on the MUFC twitter ( @maidstoneunited ). If given the chances, a great season awaits for that young lad....
