He was player of the year!!! He was player of the year because he was about the only one who started the season and ended the season....... there really shouldn't have been a POTY that season......it was a complete farce......... Bit harsh, he was one of the few who looked as if he cared. Couldn't really expect players to shine under the poisonous leadership of the clown.

Which is why he got POTY from supporters. Great to have him back.

The team was rubbish at the time but Michael Phillip's wasn't. The player deserved his award and was widely appreciated by supporters. Michael has a lot to offer the Stones, looking forward to a season that looks ever more interesting.

Good article today in kent online. Michael is full of praise and liking for the management set up at the club. Loves the supporters too and really pleased to be back. His only unhappy memories were under the leadership of Harry Wheeler. Strange really !! Looking forward to a good season and a serious bid for promotion. Wants to see Stones back in the National League.

His only unhappy memories were under the leadership of Harry Wheeler. Strange really !! Pretty sure that Jason described him as the ugliest man on the planet (or possibly a smaller subset), clearly that didn't upset him too much then! Recent pics tho, suggest a bit of a style makeover has taken place; so perhaps Jay's oblique psychology worked! Great to see him back anyway (a head start for me on being able to identify ANY of our players this year. Hopefully will prove his PP nom-de-plume.

Are you sure you're not confusing him with James Rogers. He certainly had a reputation for not being the prettiest player in the squad.

Yeah totally sure Dave - I can't quite remember when or in what context, but ISTR it was part of a light hearted squad review; so probably at the end of the 18/19 season. Probably in either programme notes and/or the KM - so if I'm not having false memories perhaps someone else will recall??

If he's fit then he should play on Tuesday night as he can't be any worse than what we saw today.

he’s looked absolutely unfit every time he’s played completely off the pace, not sure why he deserves a start over odusanya
