Again from twitter. May / may not be related to no confidence vote:
' Ollie Bayliss @ollie_Bayliss · 1h The Times is reporting that National League chairman Brian Barwick is to stand down.
The news comes as a group of National League clubs are attempting to put forward a motion of no confidence in him & the National League Board.
I’ve approached the League for comment. '

It's official, he's a goner ! Claims he advised the National League Board in February that he was retiring at the end of the season. Believe it if you like.

He is quoted as saying that this has been the most difficult year of his life. Aaah! Diddums, like it's been a piece of cake for everyone else in the country. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

It leaked out at the time, I remember thinking "what's he bloody waiting for, just go now". I'm surprised it wasn't more widely reported but he's had such a low profile throughout the pandemic it's been easy not to notice him.

We had an EGM of the National League, but does anyone know when the AGM is this year and new board members can be elected? It is usually in June.

A detailed trawl through the internet yields no information on this ( worrying in itself ). There is lavish coverage of the 2019 AGM ! : www.talkingbull.org/national-league-agm-summary/This indeed was early June - look at all those grey haired blazers !

For those of us who don't have an online subscription, could you paste the whole article. Sorry Dave, I don't subscribe either - the ultimate clickbait, but it will be published in full on line in a couple of days - whether its worth reading it all is an entirely different matter.....

I think the NL have pretty conclusively proven that their setup is unfair and dysfunctional. Without one vote per club I see little point in the NL.
