I thought that was going to affect my week in Mallorca in October, but no, it's just a warning for emigrants, so of very limited (or no) relevance on here. After all, how many subscribers on here actually live abroad? I can only think off the top of my head of Hong Kong, Bermuda, Scot and JDL.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, nothing you say or do will change anything so why worry about it. We only get one journey through this vale of tears called life and it's far too short to worry about things you have no control over. I can't remember the last time Jim Parmenter changed his mind after you insulted him on a messageboard. At least I 'worry' about things that actually affect me and those around me above a spurious and superficial level You're just obsessed with tedium. Nothing you have posted affects you in any way shape or form, you are just frightened of doing something interesting instead of wasting hour after hour reading desperately dull newspaper articles that are probably steeped in bullshit anyway. Its amazing how you recognise the lies all around you except in the articles you post. Adrian it's not to late to get a life.

The bits I present as facts are usually stats or are based on actual occurrences. Let's not forget how you were happy to present facts about the Lisbon Treaty because some had told you on Facebook. You then still held that belief when I sent you a link to the Lisbon Treaty that proved your Facebook fact was entirely wrong. As for getting a life... I'm doing plenty in the Bay and life is pretty enjoyable. Reading articles (not Facebook 'truth' ) is something I do late on in the day or very early. My degree was economics and I'm generally interested. Personally, I'm not interested in things like miniscule facts of some obscure Dervyshire football team. I feel secure enough to let others be interested without it worrying me.

You look for things that are negative but not once have you post anything political or economical that is positive. You should know fine well the swings and roundabouts if world finance todays bear could be tomorrows bull. Try being positive for once instead of concentrating on the negative aspects of finance and politics. It's funny that when I tell of my negative aspects of real life you call me a liar and yet here you are mr doom and gloom and you want me to believe what you say there is though a tiny difference you scoff at me but I believe most, not all,of what you post I just have no interest in it because I cannot change it and neither can you.

Interesting headline in the paper today - "The man who didn't know when to stop".
It never occurred to me that newspaper editors read this forum...

Yes, but some of us did have aspirations of retiring in France which is obviously now going to be more of a challenge. Talking of challenges, apart from seeing less of Nigel Sewage, can anyone specifically quantify any actual benefits of Brexit?

We've got more vaccines, but apart from that, no.

Except the EU have revealed themselves to be a bunch of mewling sulkmonkeys. Why was our shellfish good enough for them while we were in the club, but not now we are an independent contractor?

Well my degree was in economics but feel free to denigrate in a negative way. I'm happy I studied academics as opposed to a lie on Facebook. As for posting pessimism, it is you who was busy painting the most negative picture of all foreign people not me. I noted our good performance on vaccines and I'll happily note good stuff. Can you tell me the good points of brexit so far, as I have missed them? Oh and the bits I called a lie was because they were not true. I can search up the lie about the Lisbon treaty if you want. True. We can't change it. The future potentially ruined for daughters. I won't forget it. Sorry if it proves embarrassing for you. Now, please give me those positives.

I have been working, taking my daughters out etc despite lockdown. I've got a trip to Lapland booked. I enjoy living by the seaside and feel very content. I'm happy to hear what you are doing that is so great. Underlying a lot of British pysche, that I hate, is a deep-rooted fear and dislike of people who are not British. Nigel Farage even moaned a our accents on a train. I'm not OK with that, are you?

After 30+ years of lies and denigration by anti-foreign types and you write that. Hilarious. I don't think the EU are utterly fab and their vaccine carry on is a joke but you voted for what we have in government now. My daughters have lost the freedom to live, work etc in 27 other countries. You had that freedom

One positive I can think of is that we can change our fire extinguishers back to whatever colour we want
