If someone in another country has a criminal record, refuse them entry. simple, no matter what it is. If they fail to live by the rules in their own country , what chance will there be for them to live by the rules in our country. What else can we do ? Its either that or let none in. 

For an example, if your a thief in Iraq, you could get caught and who knows what would happen to you. nothing nice. prison would be hell out there. Or travel to the UK , be a thief, you could get caught and get a slap on the wrist. Do it again, get caught maybe go to prison where you are fed well and given luxuries like TV's and sports equipment. Its almost a no brainer. If your a scumbag, your better off coming here.

Myself, I’m more a humanitarian. I don’t see being born in a country as giving me a Devine right to it’s benefits. If anything, the unemployed fit ish people have had all of the luck but wasted it.

It wasn’t really childish. You posted two irrelevant links to a subject that we weren’t discussing. Sword made his comment, you went off on a tangent to try and bring Brexit into the discussion as usual.

I’m not trying to “reason with the cat right” but having a discussion with someone who has a differing view point. Maybe if a few more were willing to do this, every discussion would not just descent to one side calling the other far right or woke lefties.

Er, I replied to sword who had made the comment about my children marrying wife beating Muslims. My links pointed out that his vote had made it more difficult to live in countries where women were safest. A clear link. You may not like that link but it is there. So yes, it was a childish and flippant retort.

Meanwhile you are trying to reason with someone who believes that people who move here should never argue and be totally grateful to a country where a shouty minority - led by a disingenuous press - show nothing but contempt and dislike to them, making it clear, every single day, that they are not welcome. My far right comment was fair. He denied having an anti foreign agenda when practically the first word in the original post was immigrant. It was a post about an 11 year old girl being stabbed. The status of the perpetrator was only relevant if you were making that the main point of the post. If it wasn’t an immigrant he wouldn’t have posted.
