Havant and Waterlooville FC are pleased to announce that we will be live streaming our home matches for the 2020/21 campaign and will be available in time for our first home game against Maidstone United which takes place on October 10th.
Following the latest guidance on games taking place behind closed doors, we are pleased to provide this service to our supporters, with Season Ticket Holders being able to stream league matches free of charge for every Vanarama National League South home fixture or until crowds are permitted back inside for fixtures.
As a Club, we’ve taken the decision to invest substantial funds to equip ourselves with state of the art technology in order to bring football into the homes of our long standing and faithful supporters. Our exciting high end production will include full match commentary at each game as well as scoreboard graphics, and your chance to interact with the stream via our twitter account @hwfcofficial.
For those without a season ticket and for away fans there will be the opportunity to watch individual league matches at a cost of £8.99 per match on a pay per view basis.

Why is it that nine quid seems a lot to watch a match? An away day to see this would have cost me 5 times as much at least!

As for the match - I wish it wasn't so early in the season. With the money behind H&W, it's going to be a hard game to win. From what I saw Tuesday evening, I reckon we could beat H&W - once we've had a few games and got the squad really bedded in. But only our second league game, and away?

I'm sure H&W would have wanted easier opposition for their first game. Don't forget they didn't play Tuesday evening as they had a bye. So they haven't bedded in either. Might be the best time to play them.

It is their first league game of the season and hopefully they will be a bit more ring rusty and less match fit than us. It is a 3G pitch as well. I've also contacted their secretary to charge you £44.95. It's saved me probably 3 times that amount, not having to pay for petrol, my daughters ground entry and lunch, and the wife's bingo in Leigh. Enjoy

Nice positive vibes! I'm otherwise engaged Saturday afternoon (laying bloody paving slabs!!), but if I wasn't I'd be watching this stream.
Still, there's always SL - let's hope they make it to the end of the game this time!

Seems to me that this is two clubs being short sighted and not catering for their wide fan base.

Why is it that nine quid seems a lot to watch a match? An away day to see this would have cost me 5 times as much at least! It isn't a lot really. You could buy a film on Amazon and it will cost you between £8 - £12 - the likelihood is, it won't keep you on the edge as much as watching your team trying to get a result away from home! As you say, compared to the cost of travel, paying at the turnstile and then the extra money you spend in the ground on beers, a programme, a burger / tea etc. it's really not a lot. They need to make some money somehow, just like we do. the whole of non-league football needs our cash right now.

Still, there's always SL - let's hope they make it to the end of the game this time! There's no Stones Live commentary on Saturday Bugger! But thanks for the heads up. I imagine this is going to happen a lot, so we won't hear much from SL this season - or at least before Xmas. I could, I suppose, pay for the stream and just listen to the comentary while I'm working, but the wi-fi doesn't reach that end of the garden and 2 hours of livestream is going to blow my data allowance completely! Maybe, I can lay enough slabs before 3 to be 'allowed' back in the house for a couple of hours...

Because he's seeing it from the point of view of someone who wants to follow the game without paying for it. daveu Mr Highandmighty as usual. Already posted I would be happy to pay for audio commentary. Personally, I actually like football on the 'radio' as it means I can get on with something else as well, but that's unlikely now it seems if all games are streamed and Stoneslive aren't able to broadcast.

I agree re radio commentary and being able to do other things, however we are in different times and all clubs, Havant as well as Stones need to get revenue where they can all the time there are no fans. Not ideal and I am not sure what commentary Havant will have. You could record it and watch it later.. I am now thinking of that famous Likely Lads episode re trying not to find out the score :-)
