Took me a good half minute to figure out we weren't playing in amber and weren't in a new kit.
Anyone go? It's been three games now with us fielding a good number of trialists in each, but no announcements of who's made the grade. I wonder when, or if, we'll get updates on anyone signing on for this season.

We have had no updates about anything squad wise. Our squad is small so we still need at least 4-5 players before the season starts.

It is disappointing that Hak doesnt seem to want to coonnect more often with the supporters. Just one interview (which was good) and then silence.

Seems strange with the club streaming matches and trying to get fans motivated, thst our manager is so quiet. Hak had a really good first interview but sonething more regular would be nice

The club must be close to firming up on another couple of signings. Maybe we will hear something from Hak this week. Hope so.

With Elokobi and Corne on the pre season injury list (both important players imo), we are looking very thin on the ground. The 3/4 new signings all look very decent, bit it's right that Hak takes a good, hard look at the trialists. Probably need at least 3 more signings but we are not far away from a comoetitive looking squad. Just hope that are injured pairing get back to trsining soon. Would be nice to hear something from the club - news is scarce.

Hopefully we hear about some signings this week. The team needs to start being settled before the season so they can play at least 2-3 games together without trialists. I am surprised that we don’t hear from Hak or anyone after the games.

So I know nothing about what's going on, that's clear, but my guess would be that we've offered terms to some of these trialists ( otherwise why keep playing them ? ) with a deadline to say yes or no. The trialists + agents are threshing around trying to find an alternative club / contract which offers more pay, a more progressive club, better coaching, grass not 3G etc. Only when there are no other offers on view will they sign. In the meantime, what could Hak say ? ' I've offered to these guys, we're waiting, anybody want to buy a chip shop ' . So wait and see....

If you are right you are painting such a depressing picture that swordy would probably like to hang it in his living room.

Porky is obviously a 'half glass empty' sort of bloke. More likely Hak is looking to sign the best of the trialists. He can't afford to make mistakes or carry bench warmers. Look for a couple of decent signings by the end of the week.

I can't think of any other way to explain what's going on .......

(So unconvinced I can't remember his name )
In his defence, last night practically no one was getting anywhere close to hitting a target, especially in the box !
Perhaps you meant 3/4 of our new signings look very decent?

Over the years I've been so fed up up with most pre season matches, that I've given them a rest.
So I just sit at my keyboard posing as an armchair commentator of unfolding events.
The signings I was speaking of are Kreshnic Krasniqi and with a name like that he's going to be OK.
Then comes Joe Ellul at centre back who def sounds like a strong signing.
Then there's Scott Rendell (seasoned striker and a good signing on paper) whom I'm guessing is the guy you have found disappointing
And not forgetting Max Watters (young striker and trialist from Doncaster) who again looks the business on paper
Then there's Ibby Akenbi (injured) but one of my favourite players and hopefully will have a good season.
Also on the books are Jake Embery and Ibrahim Olutade (I think) - but surely 3 strikers is enough
The other player whose name I forget (may not have signed yet) is the new young keeper and all the reports about him have been positive.
