Hi Chaps, Apologies for not putting this in the 'non Maidstone United' section but most people never go there and the whole point of posting it is for people to see it. On Saturday, The Mote Cricket Club are holding a family fun run, cricket match and other activities to raise money for, and awareness of, the Mind charity in remembrance of our former player Ben Dance, who sadly took his own life in June. If any Stones fans want to come down, have a bit of fun and support the cause that would be great and the bar will be open in the afternoon with Spitfire Ales, and the yummy Whitstable Bay on offer! The day starts with a short family fun run in the morning, only 1.4km, there is a small entry fee and all kids get a gift for finishing it. On a nice Saturday afternoon The Mote ground is a gorgeous place to hang out and enjoy a beer and bit of cricket. Naturally social distancing rules apply. More details here in the KM article: www.kentonline.co.uk/maidstone/news/cheers-to-ben-a-good-friend-232678/?fbclid=IwAR1c8AZMEMk49c1ilATOf6DM-eHgt67qwXrUimcot5zHKUPDl5Lo5bJM_nsHope to see some of you down there Cheers John
