"How does someone like this even exist? How does he get out of bed in the morning? Has he figured out how to breathe through his nose? Spare me the “be kind” shit. People like this need to be driven in to the sea. It’s precisely because they haven’t been driven into the sea that we’re as fucked as we are. And we are, ladies and gentlemen, very fucked indeed."
A rant for our time if ever there was one. Brilliant stuff.
I don't really (sort of) want Dover to go bust (more or less), but I'd like them (and Him) to go away and not be heard from for a very lomg time.

KATASTROFA OD FIRME is Croation, and means 'disaster from the company' (or DISASTER FROM THE COMPANY).

He's got "Lorries must only arrive during their authorised booking slot and are unloaded based on the priority of the product onboard." programmed on a function key! Nothing like good customer service...

At least we don't have people like Eric Prescott Kay working in non league football.
This slimeball takes the biscuit.

Great piece Fred, keep it up.
However you are forgetting the real reason that the Saudi backed bid for Newcastle was blocked by the EPL. It was not because the regime sanctions the murder of journalists, leads a 5 year and counting war into a neighbouring country thus creating a humanitarian crisis or just subjugating their female population as second class citizens such that they are not allowed out on their own without a male chaperone. No, it is because they illegally streamed Premier League matches! How heinous a crime is that in comparison?

As an adjunct to Marvin Gaye's rhetoric, I recommend "The Death Row Book Club", a fascinating 30 minute documentary you can find on BBC Sounds.

You're right about Ross Marshall, I thought he was terrible. The only thing he could do well was head the ball. His passing was Sunday morning league level. Clearly Stevenage, like so many other clubs, are scraping the barrel because they've got no money.

I wouldn't single him out and I've been wrong about players in the past, just thought it was a bizarre video.

It is a strange video, as you say somebody has spent hours trawling through Stones Live footage to pick out a few snippets of action that make it look like he is a superstar. Not everyone will agree with my assessment of Ross as a player but surely nobody can think that one minute or so of film represents his true talents.

The crazy thing is some players who don't look all that in Non-League can, when surrounded by better players at a higher level, suddenly transform into different players if they get a chance at a higher level. I thought Mr Sweeney was hit and miss for us but clearly he was in this category to get the games he did for Barnet, and Ross Marshall may well turn out to be one of those. Stranger things have happened!
